Altias's Letter

Altias's Letter

Postby gothicwords » Sat Apr 05, 2003 9:53 am

A few days had gone by. She had good reason for the delay. A broken rib being the most that had subjected her to lying in bed for the past day and night. A bruised neckline and two tiny little puncture wounds marking the little boys hunger, and brutality to her neck. Phlynn had undermined Alexi. Her passion to love him had left her with a hole in her heart. It was time now to see to it that such things were not tolerated in her beloved land of Mrken. After all, when a piece of what you hold dear is taken, "risk" becomes of little consequence.

A hot bath had washed the vomit from her hair. Now brushed clean by Rebecca her personal handmaiden. She sunk deeper into the steamy hot bath. Elbows had been scraped bloody. She let her arms dangle over the edge of the polished curve of porcelain. The tips of her knuckles scraped the floor at either side of the claw foot tub. She would have let the water bubbled over her head but the moment it touched at her chin she was reminded of the cut that was still healing. Small but still it marked her delquite visage. A sigh came from the noble woman, and then another pressing drink of her wine by the young girl who was seeing to her every need, while she recovered.

She still had a great deal of business that needed tending too.

"Rebecca? I need you to take a letter to the Broken Dagger Tavern. Find out which room a Lord Altias Bromn is staying. "

She made sure she had the girl’s full attention before she went on.

"Over there on my night stand, it is the blue scroll that has already been sealed. See to it that he receives it. " She instructed as she moved to lift her naked frame out of the tub.

"No, no Madam Let me help you." she insured the woman, coming up behind her, wet or not and supporting the woman with her own body. Wrapping both arms up around her under-arm and pulling her to her feet on the soft rug. Toweling her off and covering Alexi with a robe.

"Shall I dress you now Madam?" Rebecca inquired softly.

"No. Go. See to it that Lord Altias has that letter. Take a horse from the stable and go see to that. I will no longer need your assistance. After you deliver that letter then you are free to do as you wish. See me tomorrow about your wages."

And that was that.

The Truth and Nothing But The Truth

Postby gothicwords » Sat Apr 05, 2003 11:07 am

It is with regret Lord Bromn that this letter is sent with delay. As it would seem I have fallen upon some misfortune and have been layed up for a day or two until I fully recover the assult upon my person. Which brings us to the very important nature of this letter.

As you know I have petitioned the courts for the liscense to establish an orphange. More now than ever I believe it must be pushed through the courts. I shall explain in detail my request and the details of my assult.. So that action may be taken against the assaliant.

Every town has children which for what ever reason are with out guardianship. Some of which have parents that are not suitable to take care of them. And others who simply are left orphans by the misfortune of life. Although I am not privy to every single child within the boarders of Mrken I do know that they exist. There fore I wish to establish a safe haven. A orphanage for such children. The "Rose Justice Orphanage " will provide the following.

- Food, Clothing, and Shelter within the compound of the Rose Justice Grounds and Home

- A Christian Education, but not there limited too. Which will include classrooms and one teacher per every seven children.
In a disiplined setting of skills such as but not limited to, Music, Art, Mathematics, Sciences, Lanauge studies and arithmotic.

- Ages 0 - 17 up until the date of their eighteen birthday shall be accepted within our establishment.

- The compacity of "Rose Justice " will be 35 Children. Until the need of more is determined an amendment will be made.

- A kitchen staff of 4, 6 Nannies, one for every 5 children, and 4 Teachers. Head Mistress Alexi Rose.

The orphange will be capable of handling children with challanges, hearing impaired, blindness, insanity. But not there limited too.

Each child will become a ward of the Town of Mrken once placed in the custody of Alexi Rose Head Mistress and accepted by the Council.

The placement of each child will be determined by the Council, and Head Mistress and Captian of the Guard should circumstances deem that criminal involvement be suspected by an orphan.

The Rose Justice Orphanage will be upon the Estate of the Lady Alexi Rose, of the House of Rose Justice on the Eastern Edge of the town of Myken Wood. Once contruction is complete all property and grounds will be owned out right by that of Alexi Rose. The building itself shall belong to the Town and shall be non taxable. For the Orphanage shall run as a non profit orgaization. There fore if the orphanage should fail in it's provisions for the town all of it's out buildings and land shall remain in the possesion of Alexi Rose, and whom ever she wills it too in her time of death.

I request My Good Sir Brown I urge that you to share this petition with the other councilors and earge them to pass such a needed thing for their town of Mrken. I sincerely wish the council My best in all reguards. And to you Sir, may God be thy One true Guide.

The second matter is of a criminal nature:

In the month of March I Alexi Rose was witness too one of the gravest acts of murder I have ever seen. - I arrived upon my carriage at a late hour to find that it had been defiled with the bodies of two young children. Their heads and limbs had been cut away from their frames. It was as though they had been slaughtered. The moment I stepped into the coach I was trapped inside of it. The blood was ankle deep on the floor of my carriage. Inside was the little boy Phlynn. He confessed to me the murder of the two children. And I admit I grew rather hysterical. As you can imagine it was horrific. I believe if it were not for a heroic young man I may not be alive today.

Phlynn claims he saw the other two boys stab another boy to death and he felt it was his duty to slaughter the other two young boys. It was then that I knew the boy was ill. And that he needed help. I however had no idea of what he was, or the fact that he was plotting with intent to murder again. Nor did I realize I was to be his next victim.

I petitioned the courts to have him detained. Fearing for both my own life and the life of the little girl, which he has both deceived and befriended by Phlynn. A girl named Angelina.
I would also like the court to note that Angelina has been working for the Prince of New Dauntless as his housekeeper. It is not my intention to adopt the girl or to have her placed in an orphanage if she already has sufficient means of guardianship.

The court delayed in the detainment of Phlynn, and I fear because of it I must report the next account of assault. Because of this I fear I must report the next account of assault.

On the night of April the 3 I arrived at the Broken Dagger Tavern to deliver a letter. After a rather disturbing conversation with a priest, and the upset of a strange creature I felt I should take my leave. Alex Kanashia was fending off this creature and demanded that I flee for safety. I do believe several guards died that evening defending the people within - When I retreated to the outside I came upon Phlynn and Angelina. - They had convinced each other that they would lure the creature outside with a music box. - The music box was of an enchanted sort. It plays a tune that wards off evil. I am aware of this because the music box had belonged to me. It had been lost, on the night I had tried to give it to the boy Phlynn as a present. That night I became aware that the music the box produced made the boy extremely ill. This knowledge is what leads to the next order of events.

The moment Phlynn opened the music box the creature was enticed to come out, however Phlynn began to take ill. Vomiting and thrashing about. It was at that point that I picked him up to take him to the hospital. Because of the great danger inside, I picked up both of the children and proceeded to my carriage. I could not foresee any other way. A sick boy, and a blind girl in the middle of the night left to fend for them self’s was not an option I had. I loved the children, and still do even with the next turn of events.

It was then that Phlynn attacked me. Revealing his true nature. He clamped down upon my neck and pierced it through with two small fangs, not as a child, but as a vampire. Had it been just that I might have been able to forgive the child, and understand the best I could his degree of fear or hunger. However he then proceeded to beat me. Kicking me until my rib had broken. At that point others had come to what I had hoped was my aid. It turned out to be quite different however.

I refused the help of a healer, as it is not of my faith to practice such crafts. There was another woman that saw to the boy, and Tyralor and his lady friend passed along to lead the blind girl back to the Tavern.

As you can image I was both distraught and weak from the loose of blood. I feared for the child going back to a Tavern filled with danger, and I feared for her safety knowing that she would likely be deceived into believing that the boy Phlynn was her friend.

If this account is not enough to arrest Phlynn of his crimes both against me, then surely for those of the family of the young boys he murdered in cold blood.

It is with a grave knowledge that I must state.
The boy Phlynn is a vampire and pathological liar and immediate threat to society.

God's Speed in this matter.
