Beginnings
Patience was little more than a farm girl, born to Nicholas and Hope Mayfield on their farm in Myrken Wood. She spent her days helping her family work the farm, and watching after her younger brother, Braunwin. In early Spring 207, Patience left the farm to care for her aging aunt, Prudence Edana Galston, in her home in Myrkentown. While the young woman was away tragedy befell the rest of her family in the form of the Ashfiend, and the three people she loved most were condemned to become some of the creature's first servants native to Myrken Wood.
After The Fiend
Patience petitioned the Shepherd Knights to become a squire and was accepted, as squire to Malaroth Deucalios, the Grand Master himself. At the Chapterhouse she trained under Sir Deucalios with one goal in mind, turning herself into a weapon to destroy the Ashfiend. This narrow sense of purpose led to several blunders on the young woman's part, including her ill-fated dealings with Sin Vraal. By the time the Ashfiend staged a direct attack on the Chapterhouse, the squire was overdue a change of heart and to gain some perspective on the future.
