A messanger interrupts

A peaceful nights sleep wrapped up in the arms of a dear friend Janessa could think of no greater contentment, no greater happiness in the world. It seemed like life was finally settling down a little in Myrken. It was a knock on the door though that would interrupt their slumber. Janessa was always a light sleeper, and with a gaze over at Sawyer she would gently un-entangle herself and slip out of the bed, hoping not to wake her friend. She had always been light on her feet and she didn't expect to make too much noise over on her way to the door.

The door is opened, the red haired woman fully dressed, though her clothes rumpled and before her is revealed a messanger of foreign dress. A brow arched curiously at the man waiting before her letter in hand.

"Can I help you?" she asks the man quietly, keeping her voice low so as not to wake Sawyer.

"I have a message to deliver to Janessa of Heldar" the man replies simply, curiously glancing past Janessa into the room to see that one bed and the other woman all curled up in the blankets. A brow would be arched and a wry grin on the man's lips.. but no comment on the matter.

"I am she" another simple reply, and the hand reaching out for the letter warily, almost as if it might bite her. The messanger would pass the letter on, give her a bow and then retreat down the steps.

Back into the room she goes, eyes falling on a familiar seal, choosing to seat herself before the letter is opened.

little one,

Years it's been now since you left and I've found myself continuously worried about you and where you may have gone. I tried to contact you after you left the ship, to be sure you were safe and well but it seems that you heeded my advice to the letter. It was only luck that one of the merchants here had come from your Myrken Wood.. it seems that you tended to him while he was ill. Not much has changed over the years has it little owl? There was no mistaking it was you from what he had said. I have planned a trip, to New Dauntless and you will meet me. I've missed your letters, and I am concerned for your safety in such a cursed place. I will send a carriage for you before the week's end, please have all of your affairs in order to be with me for at least one cycle of the moon.

With great love,

Morrin

The letter would be carefully folded, and placed with her things. Arrangements would start to be made that day.. friends to tell, people to arrange her absence with. What an unexpected demand this had been.
