The edge of the Sikasoon mountains in Derry, boarders very close to the Myrken Wood. and though there are many a cave and mine opening, throughout the range. Many do not know about one of the lesser known ones...a cave opening that lead in deep and far into the mountains...cut out by Dwarves a century or two ago. The Gypsy never discovered what they were mining for...nor did she care..she wasn't looking into starting a gold rush or find a vine of Mithril after all this time..she wanted the space for other things...this one might say...is the heart of her operation.

its easy to get but hard to find, so its about as perfect as a hide-out can be...and once one entered the mouth of the cave. If they didn't have an idea before hand where they were going, the endless paths and off shoots could have someone lost in the mine for months..and still not find what they were looking for...Dwarf...don't you just love them?...

Well the Gypsy held judgement...she'd "inherited" the deed from a dead man. and The dwarves who originally cut through the mountain?..Long gone.

It took the Gypsy herself about 6 months to a year to fully map out the parts of the mine she used regularly. and little by little she pieced together the rest of it...Was there a map made by Dwarf or man?..Not that she's found..save of course the one that now exsists in her head.. like it was stated earlier, it was damn near perfect...

Three room, about a mile in..were dimmly lite, enough light for reading and not subbing toes. the smallest was a make shift sleep chamber. bed, desk chair. Barest of the bare...next through a small passage, was another room...filled with papers and other such knick knacks. two or three large tables set about the room....this room seems to hold the most light...a war chamber perhaps?.. WEll its a planning room for sure, also a hold for some of her more rare finds...relics and weapons vasting over a variety of centries from lands most of Myrken or Derry never dreamed existed...The final room held almost no light at all...and it was chilled, not to difficult a feet what with how deep into the mountain she was...but the lack of light, and the ice she has been constantly packing in there throughout the winter helps..as does a tiny snow globe. a small piece of magic. the globe keeps ice..well ice...this place usually houses food incase a long stay in hiding is need..but at the moment. it is housing a few other things...two things in fact...well three, two orcs..recently passed, and one severed arm...she hadn't intented on actually killing the orcs...but they turned out to be more trouble then not..and well whose going to miss a couple of orcs?...

At the moment the Gypsy was in the middle room...looking over a map..well more specificlly she was adjusting a map..it was a map of myrken..on the corner of the desk...was a small pouch inside it held rudy gems...

Road side attraction....

Postby Khalika » Thu Mar 17, 2005 2:01 pm

It was getting close...she would have moved faster if not for the termoil that was erupting in town, a part of her now is torn on weather or not this is the best time to do what she is about to do...But another part of her wants to drop Kerrak down a peg or two...he was quickly getting to big for his hat...and the only time she wants to see a mans swelled head, is well a story for another time...as it was she had sent word for the Vertex to bring down the dummies....she had choosen a part of the wall far enough away fom the town itself that foot traffic would be minimal, and it was a place that held little guard activity. All she had to do now was wait For Jirai's distraction....something to pull enough of the guards to a single place...and away from what she had planned.....It wouldn't take much....a scuffle, and argument. What with all of the goings on lately it wouldn't be much to spark a fight...the catch was, getting out before the law arrived...she didn't want one of her best employees spending a month in the Gaol. But she also knew the Drowess knack for starting fights without being involved in them herself...Whatever she did...she needed it to be done soon....

Everything was ready.....

Though by pinning this on Orcs was she making a bad situation worse?...Definatly. But when she gets into these moods, logic and right hardly ever come into play.

<Jirai> It was a beautiful night. Dark and quiet. Quiet it would not remain, though. She would see to that, as she was paid to do. She had spent the last day watching the Wall a little more closely than usual and now she was returning to a vantage that she had chosen earlier. But not alone, not now. Coming to a stop still out of sight of the construction - and the men there - she looked up at her companion. "It is right through there." Her voice was low and clipped, her face bare as she indicated the proper direction.

<Stonefoot> The ground nearly vibrated with his lumbering steps. A massive mound of would could best be described as small mobile mountains. This creature was a rock troll, and as such lacked a proper level of what could be referred to as intelligence. What only served to influence this image were the twin trails of dirt where his knuckles had dragged along the ground in his trailing of the drow. She pointed, his brow furrowed in deep thought before he grunted and poked the air where her finger was. "Is air."

<Jirai> Her impatience with the creature was rather poorly concealed as she growled a curse in her own language at the thing and tugged her hood up, gesturing for it to follow her. Best not to make her involvement -too- obvious, now! She would lead the thing closer, until the Wall, and the men guarding it, were in sight. "There! The Wall. It is on the other side of the Wall. And those men, they do not want you to have it."

<Stonefoot> Fortunately, her impatience with the creature was rather poorly received, as it continued to lumber along in what could possible be described as a bemused state, but it was likely it didn't have enough active thoughts within its mind for this to be true. A hand came up scratch the side of his head, where it collided with a considerable force and sent him wobbling as he listened to Jirai speak. "They take? No give back..." Eyes narrowed down into cracks against the earth and it growled a sound like tectonic plates colliding. "I WANT MY ROCK!" It began lumbering as fast as possible for the wall.

<Jirai> This would be exceedingly interesting to watch, of course, as she faded back into the shadows. The men would have enough on their hands with the rock troll, and she was confident of being able to escape unnoticed if she chose. Hopefully this would also accomplish what the gypsy wished. But then, even if it didn't, the night would not be a loss, for she had chosen this location just as much to watch the Lothbury guards as to oblige Khalika.

<Khalika`> speaking of the Gypsy....she was leaning against a tree conviently in the path the drowess was taking...yes she knew what was about...she always did...and it seemed this little distraction was going to work out better then she thought...for Orks have used Trolls in the past...a whisper in the dark...â€

Khalika` nodded to the Drow and then she was gone...slipping through the forest she moved with an odd grace, that match her tall green skinned companions, and could have only been gained by a life time of living amongst them...they pulled almost 30 or so feet past the charging troll..she wanted to wreck the wall, not injure the guards..of course if they got in the way...well...let's hope they don't....waiting till the Troll pounded once again upon the wall...the three vertex drag out their dummy with a quickness that would lead one to think the dead orks they were carrying were but filled with straw...they were leaned against the wall..the severed arm dropped a few more feet away...incase nothing of the bodies remained..there would be some evidence of orks about...slipping back into the darkness...their part done...the last would stop. It held the gifts from the tailor...Rubies...With explosive tendencies.... “well hear goes nothing...â€
