They say that you can judge a man's intent by the tone of his voice, and true or not, it's something that we all attempt, often without realising it. But here's the trickier part: can you judge a man by the tone of his writing? At times like this, one might be tempted to try it...

I look forward to meeting you at the nearest available opportunity, to discuss your recent proclamation. To this end, the Meetinghouse will be prepared for our presence this evening.

So much could be said with the written word, moreso, at times, than could be expressed in simple statements. The man who recieved that short and to the point letter laughed aloud, chortled even. Things were moving apace, it seemed, and -someone- was feeling pressure upon what they probably considered to be their base of power. Ah. It was refreshing, then, to write to the man who wanted to be Governor...

You are quite correct in requesting a meeting, Councilor Giscard. I was wondering what took you so long to send along that missive. We will meet, yes, but I would reccomend that you extend an invitation towards our other august fellows. They will need to be present as well.
