I, Giscard Guillaume, Lord of Lothbury Estate, Interim Governor of the Myrken Wood Judiciary; to Lochlain Kohler, Captain of the Gray Lancers etc.;: Greetings.
Doubtless word has reached you of the challenges which Myrken Wood presently faces, and the extremities of our response to such. Construction proceeds accordingly, but as you might imagine, in the aftermath of the Fivefold Blight, we suffer for want of trained and able men. A contingency of soldiers, recently of Thessilane service, have entered ours; alas, although their skill is unquestionable, they number but twenty bodies. This is insufficient to our need. We hereby call upon the Gray Lancers, our traditional companions in time of trouble, to ride to our aid at the soonest availability, to be compensated in coin in accordance with our pre-existing understanding, and with the gratitude of all Myrken Wood. Our wall is purposeless if not well-policed.
Done by my hand at Lothbury Estates, this 16th day of February.
Giscard Guillaume.
