The man stumbled in, rather surprisingly. An ordinary looking chap, that seemed to be wearing dusty coloured leathers, an arrow in his chest, a nice soft cap overtop of his head, and abotu three days worth of groth on his scraggly beard. Footsteps drew him over towards Suede. Message for you Sire. He commented, before collapsing to his back on the floor.
Jirai blinked at the arrow-sprouting man who collapsed towards the floor. "Friend of yours?" She asked Suede.
"Ah piss!" Suede dropped off the bar and nearly stumbled down to his knees next to the fallen man. Ah he recognized him, brow furrowed as he checked for a pulse. That pleasant mood of his suddenly fading away. "Hrmm..." The man was dead. Suede sat back a moment looking the fellow over before reaching to take the note in hand. "Was..." The item his flipped over in fingers. A dagger was drawn to break any seals on the parchment before he opened it to scan the contents.
"Hmmm... Fresh supply for the food problem.."He would.. to.. meat was meat.."You want me to drag it off..?"
The item he flipped over in fingers as he listened to Leon's comment. "I don't eat people... but have at it." A dagger was drawn to break any seals on the parchment before he opened it to scan the contents.
"Shame.. Bit of soy sauce and the taste isn't all that bad.." Despite the dragon theory.. Leo prefered soy.. not ketchup.. He slid from the stool and moved to gather the fallen man up unceremonously.. and drag him off outside.. Was there even a burial service in this place.. or did they leave them to the wolves..?
The man groaned quietly. Apparently he wasn't quite dead yet. The note that was attached was relatively simple in design. "S. Colours matched perfectly. Five Houses. No leads on paper or ink. More details will follow." There was not of course, any signature.
Suede glanced up from the scribblings on the page as Leon left, his face almost a blank expression, but he did manage a slight smirk. Strange one would think he was reading Leon's mind. "He ain't dead..."
"I see that.." Leon thought better of it.. and carefully settled the man up on a table top.. it was as good a platform as any.. He eyed the arrow.. wondering if this one was truly worth saving.. He wasn't much of a medic.. snap it off and drag it out.. that'd be his tactic.. Once he found out if it was worth it to.. or even how close the thing was to the mans heart.. It may very well've been holding something together now..
Actually...The man looked up and at the arrow in his chest. I think I might pull through. A slightly puzzled look on his features for a half second, before he tried to sit up a little bit straighter.
"So much for country fried steak.."Leo just grinned.."You want to do the honours yourself.. or shall I just give it a yank..?"He could never tell.. He prefered yanking arrows out himself.. assuming he wasn't out cold..
"No no. I think I'm good. Actually, Sir, if there's anything else that you want me to do, I don't have any other plans for the evening."
Suede folded the note up carefull before slipping it into the inner pocket of his vest. He patted it once before bracing hands to knees as he stood to move over with Leon and the man. "We should take him to the Edificium." Brow furrowed a bit and his arms crossed, best let Leon play healer, he had one question though he directed at the man. "Anyone who shouldn't know I have this information? And anything else you can tell me?" He was bending down to ask this. "If not, I want you to rest and take care of the wound."
"Ahh.. Well then.. enjoy the booze.." Leon grinned at the odd fellow.. He glanced at Suede then and shrugged.."Nahh.. If he's sittin' upright and yabbering coherently he's in no need of the edificium.."
Are you certain? I feel fine. I could go back to see if another messenger has been sent yet. He offered cheerfully. There's only a few brigands on the way, I'm certain I can scout out around them.
Suede resisted the urge to smack the man over the head, instead resigning himself to pointing at the Edificium. "Go, get healed, I'll have Canthag and the others take care of the brigands."
"Suede.. don't mother the man.. just give him whiskey.."He blinked.. and wondered if Aeri currupted the mans mind.. the kid was beginning to worry him..
Yes sir. He stated, and moved to slip off the table he'd been positioned off to move quite easily to the door and off to the Edificium
