Word of another council meeting...

Word of another council meeting...

Postby Carnath-Emory » Wed Jun 25, 2003 10:12 am

...has been delivered to the following persons; there are, once more, a few unusual names upon the list of invitees. The invitations are likely to come as no surprise; those to be gathered surely anticipated the happening -- and can guess at the meeting's agenda.

  • Governor Altias Bromn
  • Councilor Giscard Guillaume
  • Councilor Joseph O'Cynen
  • Councilor Gad Phuri
  • Councilor Al-D'arcu
  • Captains Daniels
  • Lieutenant Kilborn

The meeting is to be held, unsurprisingly, at the Myrkentown meetingroom, at 11am this Sunday June 25th.

White, strong fingers brush away the broken seal; the letter is lifted to the shrewd, wintry gaze.

"Hm. They elect me to office, to make their decisions for them - and they cannot even spell my name! I should be insulted."

With a casual flick of his hand, he adds it to the pile of paperwork swiftly reaching titanic proportions on his new desk.

Someone should really clean up in here.

"Dunichaaa...!"

Altias lifted the letter, sent to him more by default than need. Another meeting, so it would be. He would be in attendance, of course.

The letter drifted back to the desktop as other thoughts consumed the governor's mind. The comings and goings of people were really quite strange to him. But he had begun to see a pattern. When one person left his life, another seemed to enter. Exit the once captain, enter...his sister. Strage timing for a woman of the Sisterhood to arrive in Myrken. Perhaps the council meeting would shed some light.

I think that someone fixed the spelling post facto.

...well, yes. Because originally, I neglected completely to note down the er, time and day of the meeting.

Those are important bits of information, I hear.

Er. Speaking of which, I have buggered up some time zones -- sorry, Boyd!

Which means the meeting will instead be at 1pm EST -- Kobie, I have no idea what that is for you, I'm afraid; I can barely work out central-eastern conversions, let alone Aus.. *groans*

...and it's the 29th. You see how tired I am? You see?!

Burel shifted in his seat and glanced over the parchment that had, in it's innoculous manner, made it's way to his office. Fingers pried it open and glanced over the information that had been set there. An interesting array of people invited to the meeting. Quite interesting.

It was, as he would name it, a meeting he would have to attend. Especially as things were starting to come to a head...

...I have to actually get up at 10? Are you serious?

10?! In the morning?!

...I'm giving up a lot for you people. All this...having to wake up and stuff. It's valuable to me, y'know? But I'll give it away for you.
Just so you know how special you people are.

...that I'd have to wake up at 10 in the morning. :D

Buggered if I know, either, but I know the time Boyd figured out was, like, three am for me.

Which I'm never awake at, and if I am, I'm madly tapping at an Arcanos screenply, having been awoken by that mysterious, rare and elusive spurt of inspiration/madness that tends to stir me at silly times with an idea for a scene.

Whilst enjoying the ICness of this all....<g>

Kilborn had received the invitation with a sense of dourness. The fact there was another meeting and he was invited, was actually, somewhat surprising. Afterall, there had been the occassion where he was supposedly disputed for the position of Captain of the Order. He'd not been invited to a single one of those meetings. Likewise, when he found other problems or did other events, no one had questioned or invited him to meetings then. All in all, he was rather surprised he was being invited to this one. Sure, it had to do with his head and a chopping block, but he figured he'd have heard about it the same way he heard about everything.

He really, hated politicians.

The invitation itself, was left neatly with one of the clerks that bustled about, to ensure that it was scheduled appropriately. He did seem to leave the odd thing with this clerk, who had the unusual tendency of needed far more parchment for the duties performed than was truly necessary. Similarly, most occassions when a parchment went missing, it seemed a certain Duke either paid a visit or knew something he probably shouldn't have. Presently, the knowledge being passed on was meant, to be passed on. It'd been noted, but there wasn't any proof yet. Afterall, it's particularly difficult to send secret messages off, when the person you're keeping them secret is lurking over your shoulder. He reasoned he'd never actually get proof. Which was fine with him currently.

Lord High Inquisitor Tomias Gestahl fingered the parchment for a moment. His lips were pursed as he looked down his slender nose at the quickly-quilled missive.

He was displeased that the Judiciary Council was meeting on the Sabbath. He took a little consolation in the fact that they were not meeting during the services of the Divine Majesty...but not much. It would be interesting to see if the councilors and governor were in attendance at mass, either in St. Iona or St. Oran.

He would see.

And, if time permitted...he would join them at their meeting.
