An autopsy inventational

An autopsy inventational

Dear Aleksei,

I had to get your name from the constables. Please forgive my rudeness in addressing you without first a formal introduction but I have run across something that I think you might find most interesting. This very night the marshall first killed and then was later attacked by some rather interesting creatures. I've heard talk that you have knowledge of many things arcane and thought you might like to join me for an autopsy of these creatures. All told there is one transformed human corpse, some sort of half slug half dog creature and a variety of smaller such creatures that erupted from the marshall's injuries as we watched.

The bodies are currently being held at the constabulary offices for want of a lab. Please send notice of whether you'd like to join me or not so I may act accordingly.

Sincerely,

Lilija Arisdóttir

Well, this is an interesting letter.

Sword. Cloak. Check. He even grabbed his package of Warding material, and made his way to the constabulary. His cloak was wrapped around his shoulders, and pulled tight against the spring winds. He retightened his hair, making sure it was pulled back as he walked, trying to make himself look less half dead from lack of sleep, and over use of his power. He had stretched himself to the breaking point recently, and he was going to pay for it now, for several days, he was sure.

He had one of the guards go check to see if Lilija was there as he waited. At least they were getting used to seeing the scholar around now.

The guard returned with a message that the bodies had been moved to the Marshall's arena and that he would be welcome to attend upon them there. He further notes that the militia guarding the building have been told to expect his arrival and allow him entrance. There were appologies for the confusion but this event was beyond what any of them had prepared for and so they were still trying to find their footing.
