Ignus Deemunsbayn came to me the uther day abowt deemons an monsters in the forest, they supposed to have some base. He says they can be kilt. I think they shud be kilt.

I think yu shud meet with Ser Ignus abowt the matur because, althow he is annoying he also haytes deemons and would probably not be lying. He can be reeched at the Broken Dagger and I will tell him to find you.

I hate it when deemons are in the forest, it makes everything so GODAMN ANOYING. Welcum to the job.

Ser Malaroth,

I have not herd from you yet abowt the Ignas thing. I doant want to send my farmers in there yet. If there are demons we need to take care of them befoar they kill the farmurs out there. There are about eighteen families on that end of the forest and a lot of them went thru a lot of stress with the Ashfeend already.

I want to talk abowt the plans for Fort Sumpter just north of the town. I know the Army wants to use it as a bays and that would be fine. But I know its got things I been using to train my farmurs in stave work and basic swords, formayshuns, and things like that. I also think it would be good to use the walls there on the list field for defense drills. Its just about as big as the Myrkentown wall.

Problem is the Army has lots of drills there too, maybe we can talk abowt a schedul so my militiamen can learn to shoot. They did real well during the siege with a 70 percent killed. But thats not good enuf.

You can find me here a lot this week, I'm working on comunicashons betwein militia in Myrkentown and militia in Foggey Bottom.

Greetings and salutations,

I have, indeed, begun to investigate this matter that you rightly brought to my attention. Ignas volunteered to do some reconaissance work for us and I have yet to hear from - hopefully he will report soon. I fear that there may be a communication and authoritative background as there are certain persons, without office, title or experience, who feel it is within their power to commit troops to military operations.

And then there is the whole mess of whether or not this is a matter for the constabulary or the high constable himself.

Using the fort for training exercises is a superb idea. I would prefer to have the army and militia train together, along with the knights who I am working to incorporate into the military infrastructure. We also need to discuss the role of the militia for the future, along with your future in the militia.

We should look into preparing to evucate those families if it should prove necessary. Some of the houses we used for the Derry refugees still stand around the perimeter of the Chapter House. With some work they could prove suitable again as a temporary measure until this threat has been eliminated.

I will be honest, Miss Kaczmarek. I am unsure who is going to begin barking orders next for the military who has no authority to do so. But I am not about to let people die because of some authoritative rigarmarole. People are worth far, far more than protocol for protocol's sake.

My people will work to repair the refugee shelters post-haste. Once this is done I will order a systematic removal of those families who are threatened by this latest menace, with those who are closest in proximity to be withdrawn first under armed guard.

Please keep me updated. There is a regrettable lack of communication amongst Myrken leadership.

The note that arrived in the middle of the afternoon to Malaroth was hardly professional. There were no titles except for the most basic one. It was hastily written.

Sir Malaroth,

To keep you informed on the matter of Aerin and Tyminel, Ignas, in his infinite stupidity, mounted an expedition to Tyminel's camp with a couple of others, the assuredly mad gypsy, Khalika Quiller, included. It did not go well. Apparently, Tyminel's demonic forces are legion, far more than we had first thought. Ignas and Quiller were both severely injured. It is possible, however, that Quiller cut off a limb of the demoness which, if the case, would be very useful in figuring out how to vanquish her. My personal suggestion would be to seek one of them out as I have come to this knowledge only second hand. I'm not sure where either is but given their injuries, they cannot have gone far. Let me know if you have any questions that I might be able to answer.

Dear Ser Malaroth,

Thank you for your leter, I think the evacuashun is a good idea, we can also get some of the men workinge on the meeting hous to spiff up the refugey houses. The demons is also not a matter for the Constabuls, because they doant have good enuf weapuns. They would be hiting demons with their sticks. That would be hilarious. And people would get kilt all unnecessary like. Which is not.

One thing I doant think is a good idea is making yore knights be part of the army. Kerrak did that with the Brotherhoud and the politics was crazey. I dont think you should do that to yourself. The Army and the Milisha and the Knights were all meant to be diffarent limbs of the same body with diffarent funcshuns. Sorry but thats just my advice.

It would be good to train sometimes with the Armey but the Militia and the Army have diffarent time schedules, the Militia as you know has a lot of men and women in it who are farmurs and own shops. I am traininge them inside their own scheduals so that it is not all that hard or diffarent for them to jump up and defend the walls when they need to.

I think the pepul bark the orders becaus they want to save the people, not becaus of protocol. Youre probabley on the same side. I been lived here forever, I know how it works, you just gotta let that kind of thing roll off like water off a ducks back. Youll be so less stressed.
