Jacob Cutter grumbled to himself, wondering if all this was quite worth the silver that brought weight to his previously empty purse. Myrken was one of the places he had thought it best to be getting through as quickly as possible, and yet here he found himself, still stuck in this miserable area. His rough fingers dug out a shallow hole, as instructed, and the paper wrapped parcel left in his care was placed gingerly in said hole.
"Witches be damned," he snarled when it was done. There was still the small matter of moving the small boulder over the hole, and then the curious right would be done with. Years of chopping trees and building houses as an apprentice, and now there was the promise of his own business in Heath. Only Myrken Wood and a fool's errand stood in his way now.
Letter for you at dager
Sign after sign he wrote this across the bottom with due haste, all posters of the same dark monster with a warning for the townsfolk. Gods above forbid that he should meet this creature, and why she wanted to write to it.. well a witch's business were her own, right? He stole away with his silver as fast as he might when it was done, stopping only in the wee hours of the morning to swap some of his coin for a bed in a farmer's loft. A few hours rest, and he would be glad to put Myrken at his back once and for all.
