The Cost of Words

"What are you doing?" Ixius said, his condescending grin showing a degree of his jackassery. Loreley stood in the forest by the lake, walking with Ixius. "You do understand don't you?" Ixius spoke as if she were stupid, her hand grasped within his. Until they came too a spot in the forest. Clasping the beauty's face with hands and thumb. "Or do you simply refuse what you actually see?" A dread ran over Loreley, just a feeling of wrong as a fog encompassed the two so thickly that the sight of Ixius soon fadded into the white crawling of the fog. With rapid movement of Loreley's arms the thick fog dispersed, and there she stood nude. The sun bronzed skin of the woman clear and evident, for all. Except there was no all, only the sight of trees planted in the wrong direction. Their many feet of roots hanging toward the ground in a dirty mess.

Dangling at the roots of some of these trees was something unique, and Loreley moved forward brushing the roots of the trees off the object. Their hung Ixius, an condescending smile cast down upon her, as the roots apparently choked the life out of the carcass. "Thank you." The corpse said, the roots moving together to lift the corpse' hand toward her. "Without you, whom would amuse me during the evening? Such plays I speak to thee, and you react, just as I tell you to react." The corpse grasped the sun-bronze hands of the willing Loreley, and started to dance amongst the eerie setting of paradox. The thick fog rolled around them, as they apparently waltzed. The corpse of Ixius spoke as if talking to his lover. "I speak, and set up the enviroment which to direct your thoughts. I'm sure you do not think of what is actually going on, and merely react just as a sheep would a wolf." The corpse gave a kiss upon her neck, a condescending smirk upon his blue lips. Then he stopped, Loreley staring around apparently in the grasp of the puppeteer.

Ixius began to waltz, faster and faster. The rocks beneath her feet cutting with every step, as Ixius dragged her through the nasty feeling roots. Wet and muddy, smearing the two in the soil and water they once retained. The howling wind did not help, as they beat agaisnt the roots whipping the two dancing on this romantic evening. The feeling of vertigo hit Loreley, and whatever balance she thought she had was lost. Still she danced with Ixius, a corpse rotting before her eyes eminating a smell most foul. A lift of her hand, and a twirl a rock beneath her toe piercing and taking its fair share of blood. "I bet your wondering, why I am here in your dreams aren't you? I mean, this setting is rather stupid. Doesn't make much sense, and here you are within my arms unable to really do anything. I gesture you move, just like every interaction with me right?" By now the corpse had peeling skin, the stomach of it crawling with maggots, and every other form of carrion. That just happened to fall upon at certain times, moving to where they usually move. Open orifices which to plant their young and begin the consumption process.

"Now, now don't shiver. There is no reason to shiver. This is the fate of all things that live." The corpse arms wrapped themselves about Loreley's body and pulled her close. His clothes felt nasty filled with mud, and the bugs underneath could be felt from underneath the cloth. By now the maggots had made their way too her ears, nose, mouth, rectum, and vaginal area chewing away at the pieces of dead skin the living being actually had. Maggots usually planted their young in a place that was warm and damp, what better places? He stopped dancing, and bowed before her as any gentleman would do. "Thank you beloved, for a dance worth having. It has been quite a while." Loreley was busy trying to fight off her infestation of carrion, whiping and beating just about everywhere. The itching and sensation so bizarre, until roots from the trees that surrounded. Snatched her by the back of the knees and merely flung her into the air, and a cross current pushed her farther out. She fell into the roots of another tree scratching her up with their naturey defenses.

The itching was so intense she began to grind every open orifice into the rocky ground cutting open her flesh in some parts, anything and everything was better than the feeling of small insects crawling around the body. Ixius was walking to catch up to wailing female shaking his head. "Come now, lacking such self-control? I mean this is what it is all about. Awareness allows control, and if your not aware then your not in control are you? Then, if the other person is aware. Then who really is in control of yourself? Stupid woman, I bet when you awake you will just pass this off as insanity." There was nothing she could do, every grinding and scratch did not ellivate the fact that she had maggots worming around her lips inside her mouth. Falling out of her ears, and simply writhing everywhere. The water and mud just seemed to help the bugs stick to her, she laid there just sobbing writhing about. Pleading with her hand raised toward Ixius. 'help me, release me, please' she thought.

"Why should I release you, so that you will awake feeling afraid and exhausted? Ah, relief that crazy dream is gone." The corpse of Ixius said sarcastically, stopping above Loreley who simply stopped trying to fight off her infestation. "I won't release you until you promise, that you will open your eyes. Hm? Start thinking as if every word spoke, and every gesture made is a conscious thought of another spirit. They have intent, they all have intent. Wake up and notice." Ixius reached down, and grasped her hand pulling her off the ground. She stood, and only remained balanced because Ixius allowed it. The bugs began to fall off her, and she was apparently cured of her torturious ailment. A euphoric rush of pleasure ran over her, despite the freezing torential rain. The warmth pulsed through her veins, and she stared upon the decayed form of Ixius. She felt whole, and satisfied. Like she just ate the best food she ever had, while having a great massage, and the best sex she could possibly fathom. In ways it felt like a deeply spiritual bond. Then she felt tired, as the rush died leaving her wanting empty, if not obsessive.

"I'm going to let you go, and let you sleep. We will see just how much you learned, and i'll reward you again. So begins the gauntlet. If you truelly want to understand you will figure this out, otherwise I hope you enjoy your torturous evenings." The dream ended, just as that. With the remnants of Ixius standing infront the flushed tall athletic form of Loreley. That morning, when she awoke her skin felt more sensitive. The cold was colder, touch was greater, everything was more sensitive. She was severly fatigued and whatever she slept in filled with sweat. She knew some type of hex was placed upon her, and she knew innately that it had to be Ixius. It felt so much like him, the aura, the trace of magic left. Even studied magically Ixius' mark was left. The day begun, and she felt wanting. (Yayness!)
