Words Fly on Paper Wings.

It had been a delightful conversation that the Councilor had enjoyed with master Helstone -- even if there'd been no tea to accompany it; whiskey had sufficed instead, and very well thank you, given the matters which they'd discussed.

And oh, such a flurry of activity it was, that followed the erstwhile barrister's departure! A very
storm of paper and ink, and a small quantity of each discarded in exasperation, before at last it can come to an end -- and his couriers can earn their keep. They will deliver small missives to the Rememdium Edificium, this evening. They will leave summons with the guards of the Janeiro Barracks. And, neither last nor least, they will even leave word at that infamous tavern, the Broken Dagger...

Item the first:

I, Giscard Guillaume, Lord of Lothbury Estate, Councilor of the Myrken Wood Judiciary In Regards To Commerce and Trade, Interim Governor Etc., to the esteemed Doctor David D'Rael, lately of the Rememdium Edificium; to His Honour Kerrak al'Nerun, the Councilor of Defence and Civil Security; to Lieutenant Maxwell Bishop, Brotherhood of Janeiro:

Greetings.

By my authority, Doctor David D'Rael is summoned to thoroughly examine the person of the elf Reverie, currently in care of the Brotherhood of Janeiro. The Doctor will continue to care for the elf throughout her pregnancy, kindly reporting to the Judiciary Council any difficulties or alarms, should he discover same. I trust that the Brotherhood will assist the Doctor in this regards, by any means necessary.

As regards the confinement of the elf Reverie: recalling that these drow seem able to vanish and appear at will, steps must be taken to ensure that the elf is not simply spirited away from her cell. Please consider them well, and employ what means you must. Additionally, by morning two Lothbury agents will join the cell's regular guards. Kindly tolerate their presence.

Done by my hand at the Myrken Wood Meetinghouse, this 8th day of July.
Giscard Guillaume.

Item the second:

I, Giscard Guillaume, Lord of Lothbury Estate, Councilor of the Myrken Wood Judiciary In Regards To Commerce and Trade, Interim Governor Etc., to Lieutenant Maxwell Bishop, Brotherhood of Janeiro:

Greetings.

You are summoned to my office of the Meetinghouse, at the nearest opportunity that your duties will permit.

Done by my hand at the Myrken Wood Meetinghouse, this 8th day of July.
Giscard Guillaume.

Item the third:

I, Giscard Guillaume, Lord of Lothbury Estate, Councilor of the Myrken Wood Judiciary In Regards To Commerce and Trade, Interim Governor Etc., to the honorable Coran D'zir, Channeller, Hero of the Fivefold Blight:

Greetings.

I am informed by a trustworthy source that we hold a mutual friend; furthermore, that some difficulties have arisen regarding this friendship; further yet, that you may shed a great deal of light upon this subject. The door of my Meetinghouse office is open to you. I trust that should you be so good as to visit, you will use it.

Done by my hand at the Myrken Wood Meetinghouse, this 8th day of July.
Giscard Guillaume.

Really, at this rate he'd be better off just investing in a paper-mill of his own...

When all the dust clears...

...Doctor David D'Rael still isn't up to date on what's going on in Myrken Wood. Or, perhaps that isn't quite fair to say; he hears much from those coming and going from the Rememdium Edificium and just from a close proximity to the ever infamous Broken Dagger tavern. What is fair to say is that he had never heard of Reverie, nor has any idea why she holds such importance to the Judiciary Council.

Still, that didn't change the fact that his services were needed and certainly wouldn't be denied. Had Giscard made the request in person, David would have reminded him that his time is in short supply and high demand - that is to say, he couldn't watch over this Reverie all the time. But, from the letter, it seemed she was in the hands of the Brotherhood anyway - so it's Bryce he seeks to have a word with.

The good Doctor certainly doesn't have time to go out and find where the Brotherhood is keeping her.

Conveniently, Bryce is not only in the Brotherhood, but knows Reverie even. What he doesn't know is anything about pregnancies other than steering clear of the woman carrying child.
