House .. Arrest?

Thum-Thump. Thum-Thump.

Dual heartbeats rang time and again within sensitive ears, drumming their beats, in perfect time with one another. The violet-clad fingers of a hand stroked across stone, thoughtfully, as if the rock would come alive beneath fingertips.

It didn't.

Solena sighed wearily. Near the bed, there was an indication of how many days had passed since arriving within the rock fortress. Her room had no windows, and as such, she didn't stay *inside* of it, that often. Past the sturdy stone, she could hear the roar of a waterfall. It was almost soothing, and likely only that, that kept her from going insane within the encased walls.

Not, of course, that she had been forced to stay in her room. There had been talks with Silviana; Solena could swear that girl matured by leaps and bounds when she wasn't looking. Yet, she had only asked *once*, if Solee would come lead their merry little band. Only the once, after Solena had said no.

The dwarf, she had no problems with. Solena got along better with him than she did with the elf that lingered here and there. He kept an eye on her, and it bothered her. Solena wasn't sure if it was because he was elven, or simply because of the way he watched.

It hardly helped that she was on edge. Dual heartbeats reminded her of how much she missed Jarek. Spending time with Karaive was hardly something she'd begrudge, but he had Iyesha, as well.

He'd even gone so far as to take her pendants. There was quite literally no escape. Dyval had never seemed so far as it was, knowing that she couldn't cross the planes. Karaive had, of course, refused to give them back. If she could get to Dyval, she could turn right around and get back to Myrken, which wouldn't solve the problem.

Oh, Solena had most certainly raged, that first night. She had things she had to do, errands to take care of. Her word had been given; a promise to talk to Zata. There were still two Sisters to be dealt with, something he was supposed to be helping her accomplish! Quincy was in trouble with the law, or so the whispers spoke. There were endless things that she could list, and yet, she was *stuck* within stone.

He had almost convinced her that it would be prudent to remove the bond between herself and the Dragon. There were logical points, but she found herself despising logic, at this moment of time. Logic spoke, that in order to keep her safe, she would have to be seperated from the heat. She was too vunerable; she had made too many enemies that would enjoy seeing her broken, or even dead, should they come across her when the Dragon's temper raged.

It made sense and that was the worst of all. She could give no arguement, other than 'I dun wan' t'le' go.' The smooth flesh of her cheek presses against cold stone, and her eyes closed. A trickle of moisture leaks from an eye, staining her cheek within the quiet of the room, broken only by water's roar.

Forgive me, Jarek..
