Arrives at dawn, which is itself remarkable: after all, isn't the Council known best for the slothful nature of its members? Surely they won't be awake at such an hour!
But like so many other things, that will soon be changed. By a fist pounded upon each door; by the insistence of Lothbury couriers that they will surrender these wax-sealed scrolls only to the very hands of their intended recipients. That they will not leave until this has been done.
It's amazing, how a few re-animated corpses can inspire a person...

I, Giscard Guillaume, Lord of Lothbury Estate, Councilor of the Myrken Wood Judiciary In Regards To Commerce and Trade, Interim Governor Etc., to Coriolanus Helstone, the Councilor of Administrative Sanctions; to His Honour Suede Roschen, the Councilor of Agriculture; to His Honour Kerrak al'Nerun, the Councilor of Defence and Civil Security; to the Respected Ariel O'Cynen: Greetings.
I write to summon you with all urgency; we meet this evening, for reasons of which you will surely have heard by the time that this scroll reaches you. We gather at the Meetinghouse as is usual, despite its desecration, despite the filth scrawled upon its walls, because we are men of action and courage, and we will not be driven from our places of business by this animal.
This said, precautions will be enacted. Councilor Kerrak, I will require no less than ten of your most trusted, to guard the Meetinghouse as we gather there. Do not mistake me: in this matter I value trustworthy hearts and sound minds above the skill of your men's arms. I will take a novice, if he's the sort that cannot be swayed by this beast's blandishments, for I do not intend a repeat of previous disasters. We will not suffer to be fired upon by our own archers. To this number I will add ten of Lothbury's finest; if twenty excellent men will not suffice, then I do not imagine what might. Further, I hope that members of the Brotherhood may be supplied to escort unguarded Councilors as they travel to the Meetinghouse this evening.
Additionally, Lady O'Cynen, daughter of the late Joseph O'Cynen, will be joining us this evening. War has been declared upon us, gentlemen, and I am willing to cast conventions aside, if this proves necessary to combat this swine. Joseph was inspired in his combatting of this drow menace, and we hope, Lady O'Cynen, that he has passed on something of his wisdom on the matter with you.
Further: Councilor Roschen, your guard will not be admitted to this gathering. I trust I need not explain my reasoning, and that this will not be perceived as a personal slight.
Gentlemen, I wish you well. Let this be dealt with and ended before the events of three years ago may be repeated.
Done by my hand at the Estates of Lothbury, this 10th day of May,
Giscard Guillaume.[/INDENT]
