Upon meeting Genny you have met a mid-twenty year old woman who is plain, pretty on occasion, and generally polite. However, she is not easily overlooked; with her excessive height and the brilliant hue of her long hair, it’s simply impossible to blend in with a crowd. She is almost ungainly in the lean length of her limbs.
The finer details include the the delicate freckles dusted over the bridge of her nose and the stains of ink speckling her left hand, which to be fair, stand stark against a pale complexion. Only the truly crafty or the long-time friends would notice the white scars that line her wrist.
While her attempts to be ladylike are valiant, her clumsiness and lack of balance often betray her as much as her stubborn demeanor. Although her clothes are well made, and of finer fabrics, they’re usually fairly subdued in color. Tailored, floor legth and fitted, her dresses are almost military in there rigid appearance, sometimes worn with a black sash or more casually tied as a decorative belt.
Background
It is widely known, and physically obvious, that Genny is from Thessilane.
There are a few who might know her well enough to have the jist of her background. Something along the lines of a noble mother, a hobbyist herbalist or was it a baker? She made pies, I think. Yes. And her father was a physician, one of the best - he served the Duke in Thessilane. They both died in the destruction of Orvere. No. Only her mother did, her father was some time later - after she had already come to Myrken. She has a bother, or two. Maybe it was six? One of them is a doctor too, Bradford, I think? Like his father, he serves Lady Lamai Carver and her husband Christoph in Thessilane. But Tennant, her twin, he’s the famous one - or infamous I suppose. The thief! Everyone knows she despises him.
Timeline
207 AR - To pay for her room, Genny joined the staff of the Broken Dagger. It took only several hours of spilled drinks before she was sent to the kitchen as a cook, where she excelled as a pie-maker. Her hard work and harsh words for anyone causing trouble made her fast friends with the barmaid, Dulcie.
208 AR - Times become tur bulent in Myrken Wood, friends begin to die or become injured. A letter from home is received and Genny leaves for Thessilane.
211 AR - Genny returns to Myrken Wood from Thessilane, encountering the foreboding ‘bodyguard’ Giuseppe on the porch of the Dagger. Immediately she sets to arguing with Glenn, offending his hired hand, and somehow, subsequently land a job working for Aloisius Treadwell.
Genny meets and befriends several Dagger regulars, Catch, Winifred, and Descant and helps to plan the Grand Ball (http://brokendagger.com/bb/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=3590). It was here that she met Lamai’s handsome guard, James, with whom she would have a relationship for several years after.

The tax vault is broken into, all of Myrken’s gold stolen, and as is it’s Tax Collector, Treadwell. After linking a poison found at the crime scene to her brother, Genny joins the manhunt to find him. 212 AR - After Glenn’s inauguration into Governorship Genny was assigned to the newly formed Inquistory, working with Aleksei River investigating strange happenings and keeping tabs on some of Myrken’s more dangerous elements. Asked to work with Cinnabar Calomel she began a long research project to determine how best to handle Catch and the danger he posed to the town. (http://brokendagger.com/bb/viewtopic.php?f=47&t=3891)
During a particularly heated argument between her friends, Catch and Zilliah, Genny attempted to keep the peace and mistakenly got between the two. Frustrated Zilliah turned his wrath on Genny, forcing into her mind recollections of the madman’s mind. Subsequent years are spent trying to regain her sanity and control a variety of telepathic-like abilities.
Genny spends a summer in Thessilane trying to keep Catch from hurting anyone and spending time with her older brother Bradford, upon return she reveals her expanding mentalist abilities to Glenn (http://brokendagger.com/bb/viewtopic.php?f=47&t=3854 ). 213 AR - Genny works with Altias Bromn to investigate the Storyteller and her connection with Giuseppe, meanwhile Glenn goes missing. Rhaena takes control of the city and quietly Genny continues her investigations, learning about the Golben and working with the resistance among the unswained. In the height of the Red and Gold Summer Genny forms an unlikely partnership with Agnie to advance the dwindling resistance, together they plan the final moves to take down Rhaena. The very next day Agnie’s mind is overtaken, forcing Genny to seek out their last hope, Ariane. Already swain, Genny ‘wakes’ her to reveal the truth about Rhaena. Suspects continue to be questioned and the search for Glenn continues. Following the death of Rhaena and Glenn’s return, his first public speech, threatening to turn riotous, tests the limits of Genny’s mentalist powers. 214 AR - Genny meets with Ariane and discovers that the essence, or spirit of Elliot haunts the swordwoman’s dreams. Unsure of her mental powers and still scared from what she had done a month earlier she offers to try and remove him from the stone where he is trapped. With Rhaena’s murder unsolved, Glenn’s retreat to solitude, and the realization that she has started down the same path as Rhaena, Genny becomes untethered. Fearing her mental abilities and that she will hurt others, she retreats into the solitude of the Library where she Gloria finds her here and they reconcile. The Present
Construction on the meeting house continues, though her affiliation with it remains relatively private. Walter (NPC Architect) and Genny’s page / ward Daryl handle most day-to-day operations. More private than previously, Genny doesn’t get out much, conducting business from her desk and visits are more or less by appointment only.
