Preston Reid Hallow is the third son of the Hallowhouse family of alchemists and a graduate student at the Royal University in Razasan.

Unlike his brothers, Preston has very little aptitude for traditional alchemy -- although he does know, and engage in, basic alchemy -- and instead has applied himself to the study of sociology. Having studied the entrenched class differences of Razasan’s static society throughout his undergraduate years, he found himself entranced with Myrken Wood’s strange mix of egalitarianism and indenture-oriented farm labor, he decided to do his doctoral dissertation on the effects of constant violence on class stratification in the province.

He is currently staying at the Broken Dagger inn, and seems to an affable, approachable young man with slightly scattered-looking brown hair. His clothing betrays his wealth with its well-made seams, although it’s usually quite rumpled, and he enjoys the definitively southern affectation of a good cup of coffee, preferably with a shot of good brandy in it.
