Dr. Orin Barrin is an obese, almost equally elderly half-brother to Richard Aengus of New Hibera, the two having had the same father, Richard Scott Aengus. Orin is his half-brother's personal physician, as well, and the only fairy (outside of the Wiggits, Richard's tailors) who dares to take a cynical, grating, straightforward approach with the king about everything from his weight to his amateurish poetry.
