Used in older chronicles and historical records predating the annexation of Amasynia by Trae Kelsa, Anno Inceptum (loosely, "years since the beginning"), abbreviated as "AI" or "A.I.", defines an epoch based on the unification of the tribes of the Amasyn Valley and coronation of King Archenaud the Bold, an event generally regarded as marking the foundation of what is now known as the Kingdom of Amasynia.

To convert between the Trae Kelsan and Old Amasynian Calendars:

• From A.I. to A.R., subtract 1450.
• From A.R. to A.I., add 1450.

It is currently the year 1658 A.I.

There is no year zero - AI 1 is the first year or epoch of the Anno Inceptum era. Incidentally, it corresponds with 351 AD.

Timeline

• 1 AI - Unification of Amasyn tribes under the warlord Archenhaud the Bold; commonly considered to mark the founding of Kingdom of Amasyn. Archenhaud and his heirs conquer territory covering most of modern-day Amasynia, Lothaine, Xanth Grange and Heath; Myrken Wood, Derry and the western forests of Thessilane still held by the Elflords, blocking expansion to the east.
• 679 - King Ludovech takes the throne; beginning of the Second Dynasty, also known as the Ludovingian Kings. Ludovech's coronation is commonly considered to mark the beginning of the High Kings period, an era of Amasynian high culture and prosperity lasting over four hundred years.
• 949 - King Albarech takes the throne; beginning of the Third Dynasty, also known as the Albaringian Kings.
• 1005 - Brotherhood of Janeiro founded.
• 1086 - Fall of Lothaine; end of the High Kings period.
• 1086-1093 - Years of Desolation. Famine, pestilence and internal conflict result in the fragmentating of the Kingdom of Amasyn.
• 1094 - King Vernell the Pious of Amasynia converts to the One True Faith.
• 1095-1099 - First War of Salvation; Duchy of Xanth Grange brought into new Amasynian Kingdom and One True Faith.
• 1112 - Unification of the Thessil Meadowlands.
• 1119 - Annexation of Almark by the Thane of Meadowford.
• 1163 - First colony-ships land at New Dauntless.
• 1206 - First Consolidation; unification of Thessilane as a whole.
• 1228-1229 - Sixth War of Salvation; Duchies of Myrken Wood and Derry brought into Amasynian Kingdom.
• 1233-1234 - Dauntine Wars, resulting in the defeat of the colonial lords of New Dauntless by the expeditionary armada of House Taliaferro of Trae Kelsa.
• 1248-1254 - Seventh War of Salvation; Duchy of Thessilane brought into Amasynian Kingdom.
• 1270 - Eighth War of Salvation; Kingdom of New Dauntless brought into Amasynian Kingdom.
• 1296 - Duchy of Heath brought into Amasynian Kingdom.
• 1451 - Chedwry I ascends to the throne of Trae Kelsa. 1 AR.
• 1487 - Death of the last Duke von Eberzahn of Myrken Wood.
• 1527 - Fall of the House of Wekslo; Amasynia comes under Trae Kelsan rule.
