Father Alain de Castellan is a priest of the One True Faith. He arrived in Myrkentown in January of Anno Regalis 207 to assist Father Willem Eine at the Chapel of Saint Iona. A former monk, Alain was released from his monastery in Ricathair and sent by his superiors to serve in this kind of public ministry after an 'incident' that he does not seem kindly inclined to talk about.
Alain is a quiet, studious young man, extremely pious, and extremely knowledgeable -- even though, sometimes, it is clear that he knows very little about the way the 'real world' works. Nevertheless, he takes his ministry to the public quite seriously, and is often found taking that call literally by preaching in the Broken Dagger tavern.
