The Governor's Warrant is the legal authorisation issued by the Office of the Governor to members of the Myrkentown Constabulary, granting them a range of powers for use in the pursuit and apprehension of criminals within Myrkentown.
Petty Warrant
The Petty Warrant is the standard warrant issued to all Constables, granting them powers of arrest, the authority to search the person and property of an individual so arrested, and to detain arrested individuals for questioning prior to their being brought to trial. The Petty Warrant is customarily stamped onto the back of a Constable's Badge.
Grand Warrant
The Grand Warrant is held by the High Constable, and grants powers similar to those covered by the Petty Warrant, but broader in scope. Additional powers include the authority to call upon the Militia or similar organisations to aid in enforcing the Peace during emergencies with which the regular Constabulary is not equipped to cope, such as widespread rioting or other severe disruptions to public order.
