 The rumored black-wings are to be exterminated on sight. Their blood holds even more a taint than the pale blue-wings. The twins who lived more than a few hours grew sick and died with the coming of the dawn. This is not a good omen.
 Richard Scott Aengus will do well, as well as I have. I have trained him in all my ways and instructed him in all my talents. His head is firmly on his shoulders, and the young fae is quite the strategist. I am quite sure that whoever succeeds him as the third king of Hibera will be just as cunning and competent as both his father and grandfather.

 Orange-wings are merely a flit of the wings above the red. They possess a faint spark of intellect that the generally slothful red-wings appear to lack. They are to be considered superiors--in only minimal fashion--to their red-winged cousins.

 Green-wings have unofficially been my personal guard in this palace for the last sixty-five years. It is only fitting that they be established as such permanently and formally. The Hiberan Royal Guard shall serve as military conquering force outside of Hibera if necessary, although its primary role is to defend Hibera and her inhabitants. The Guard shall be trained in all conceivable manners of combat--both bigling style with feet on the ground and fae style on the wing--and their weapon will be primarily the spear. At anywhere from one-third to one-half our own length, the spear is the perfect weapon for dealing with our natural predators, and it can be sufficiently coated with The Dust to incapacitate larger targets.
