Devon Fairwater is a young man, known widely as a fierce evangelist and warrior of the Holy Light. He carries with him a long list of aliases, the most common being simply "Devon Marcus", "Fairwater" or "Father Fairwater", although he has never been ordained by any religious organization as a priest.

Another prominent, identifying factor of Fairwater's is his adamant hatred for the undead and all those who dabble in the dark arts, such as necromancy, diabolism and demonological worship or servitude.

Devon is gifted with many abilities; such as the manipulation of light, supernatural speed and strength, and the ability to control and magnify the intensity of electromagnetism in the air around himself and others, to the point that the effects can be lethal. Fairwater also retains the ability to regenerate from wounds at a far swifter pace than a normal humanoid. Though most consider him an elementalist, or cleric of some sort, Fairwater denies that these talents are related to magic, in any way. Instead, he claims his skills are divine gifts from the Holy Spirit that he devoutly follows.

In addition to these "Angelic" rites, Fairwater is a competent swordsman and a marksman of relatively high skill. He often prefers these physical methods of combat, despite his deadlier affinities.

In the more recent years of his young life, Devon has made a name for himself as a hunter of witches and demons, and a slayer of vampires.

In accordance to his duties as a Holy Knight, Fairwater dispenses the last rights to those creatures he dispatches to the other world and blesses their felled bodies, that their souls might be at peace in the afterlife.
