The skillful tailoring of his clothes and the surpassing quality of the matched rapier and dagger at his belt indicate a man who not only appreciates excellent craftsmanship but can also ''afford'' it, though he steers clear of the gaudy ostentation and vulgar showiness often displayed by nobles and dandies. A slight accent reveals him to be a Derryman, and indeed if asked he claims to hail from the small town of [[Clearwater]] in the mountains of [[Derry]].
