A bot is user on mirc that isn't actually a person at all, but just a precoded robot. Usually they have pre-coded responses to requests in channels, and specific tasks and duties.

[[Pritchard]] was a bot that served as the bartender in [[Broken Dagger]]. He had the ability to serve drinks to players that used predetermined codes such as !ale or !order. If a person typed that in channel it would trigger a response from the bot.
