The Kaczmareks are a loud, slightly criminal, immigrant family of ten, including:

* Karol, 58, father
* Magda, 46, mother
* Piotr, 32, married to Lina the seamstress; five children. The oldest is Jerzy, 15, a tailor, unmarried. The others: Simon, Little Karol, Anitka, Martalyn, Orlin, Kent.
* Dominik, 31, widower and master mason, twins Antonin and Elzbieta, 15. Elzbieta is married to Emrys Austin, the cooper; Antonin is engaged to Lyra, the daughter of a town magistrate. Dominik has two bastard children by the silversmith's daughter and the daughter of a reeve, both of whom are married to other men.
* Agnieszka, 30, misfit soldier, widow of Aleksei River. Daughter, Kasienka, 7.
* Giertruda, 28, married to Krais the butcher; three children, of which the oldest, Matej, is 12 and serving as an apprentice scribe. Other children's names: Philip, Cela, Cinnabar, Arrin, Amla.
* Petronela, 26, teahouse owner, married to Kal Martel, city guard deputy captain.
* Otto, 23, owner of the southern general stables and blacksmith, married to Estelle, two children
* Lucasz, 20, city guard, married to Corrin, a falconer's daughter, one child
* Jozef, deceased at age 5, May 206 - Bloody Flux
* Mateusz, Piotr's son, deceased at age 5, September 207 - Ashfiend's attack
History
Originally from New Dauntless, the Kaczmareks follow the One God and fled their native country fearful of starvation, war, and legal and religious persecution. Their first two sons were born in a Sikasoon refugee camp, and the passage of the first four Kaczmareks to Myrken Wood was sponsored by Jan Baker of the Baker farm, and the following children were all born in Myrken province. They were indentured to the Bakers until Jan Baker's murder in the winter of 207, when Cinnabar Calomel purchased the farm and released their contracts of its workers. Most of them remained in service to the Calomels, taking care of the farm's horses, sheep, and other animals, working in the fields, and dealing with the farm's masonry needs as fully-vested tenants.

Family is of utmost importance to the Kaczmareks. When times were bad, they had been known to steal from Myrkentown vendors to keep the children from going hungry, and Dominik was once said to be part of an illegal smuggling ring, although their recent successes have calmed them down on the criminal front somewhat. They are fiercely defensive of one another, a fact that is said to explain why they only make lip-service objections to Agnieszka's interest in the martial arts and have now begun to support Lucasz's interest in becoming a soldier.

Karol used to be a pickpocket. He no longer engages in such behavior, as he suffered a near-fatal beating at the hands of ex-guard Curin during a botched theft and is now permanently crippled.

Magda often wins the Harvest Festival pie contests.

Currently, Dominik Kaczmarek works as a master mason in town, and Petronela runs the teahouse.
Dominik Kaczmarek, the peasant Kaczmareks' second son, apprenticed as a mason in his youth, but due to his indenture to the Bakers has served mostly as a sheep-herder and odd-job man for the past few years. After the death of Jan Baker and the accession of Cinnabar Calomel to the ownership of the farm upon which he and his family lived, he was able to finish out his journey-years and pass his Mason's tests with the construction of the Ringwall. It's also said he has some criminal ties, although how extensive those go nobody seems to know.

Dominik is a man of extremes; jovial and crude, sensitive and callous, sly and serious in the next. Like all of the Kaczmareks, he is fanatically devoted to his family, which, outside the extended Kaczmarek clan, includes his twins Antonin and Elzbieta.

Dominik currently freelances in Myrkentown and the environs, shoring up walls, building stone houses and doing carved masonry work for people of all kinds. He is also somewhat of a formal farmers' liaison with the Myrken Wood government.
Agnieszka Kaczmarek has come a long way. Once, she was the ungrateful, obnoxious girl leeching off her long-suffering relatives, getting in trouble every which way with the sword she always carried around. Now, she's someone to admire -- someone who wanted and worked hard enough to make the impossible happen -- turning an insolent farmgirl into the Chairwoman of the Myrken Wood Defense Committee, the only woman to hold civic office in the province.

Nevertheless, Agnie has a tendency, like many her age, towards angst and overconfidence. Calling her hot-headed is a mistake; she's merely as stubborn as a mule and as driven as a con artist with a quota. This was tempered, for a while, by being married to the scholar-knight Aleksei River, who encouraged her to actually look at situations for what they truly are before using violence, but after his death some of her old tendencies began to re-emerge. She has also been quieted a little by her experiences as a member of the King's Own in Razasan, an experience she rarely talks about.
Agnieszka is more literate than she was, having been taught her letters by Aeryn Karolinger and Aleksei River, but she talks like a brassy, well-wrought auctioneer. The Broken Dagger has been a revelation for the young farmhand: from her first exposure to Myrken's movers and shakers, she's hung around the place attempting to cobble a better life for herself out of their scraps, leavings, and occasional generous offers.

Things have recently changed for Agnieszka. After a year's training with the King's Own in Razasan, she married Aleksei River in 213. Less than a year later, she became a widow when Aleksei drowned in a sea battle outside Orvere while he was in Thessilane on business for Governor Burnie.
* Laranna, Dominik's wife, deceased at age 20, September 207 - Ashfiend's attack

History
Originally from New Dauntless, the Kaczmareks follow the One God and fled their native country fearful of starvation, war, and legal and religious persecution. The passage of the first four Kaczmareks to Myrken Wood was sponsored by Jan Baker of the Baker farm, and the following six children were all born in Myrken province.

After Jan Baker's murder, Cinnabar Calomel purchased the farm and released the contracts of its workers. They take care of horses, sheep, and other farm animals, work in the fields, and deal with the farm's masonry needs as fully-vested tenants.

Family is of utmost importance to the Kaczmareks; all of their children, save Giertruda, currently live in the thatch-roof family home or directly nearby. They have been known to steal from Myrkentown vendors to keep the children from going hungry, and Dominik is said to be part of an illegal smuggling ring -- although they keep out of trouble with the law because nothing has ever been proven. They are fiercely defensive of one another, a fact that is said to explain why they only make lip-service objections to Agnieszka's interest in the martial arts.

Karol used to be a pickpocket. He no longer engages in such behavior, as he suffered a near-fatal beating at the hands of ex-guard Curin during a botched theft and is now permanently crippled.

The youngest Kaczmarek child, Jozef, died in May of AR 206 of the Bloody Flux.

Currently, Dominik Kaczmarek works as a master mason in town, and Petronela runs the teahouse.

Status
Karol Kaczmarek was originally created as a plot device for Laurie, and has only appeared in channel once. His daughter, Agnie, became one of Channe's primary characters.

The NPC Kaczmareks exist in such detail because they are such an integral part of how Agnie makes decisions, draws perspective, and sees the world. They occasionally show up in forum posts and she mentions them often in the Broken Dagger, and K is not opposed to allowing other players to play them.

The Kaczmareks are a loud, slightly criminal, immigrant family of ten, including:

* Karol, 51, father
* Magda, 37, mother
* Piotr, 25, married to Lina; three children. The oldest is Jerzy, 8.
* Dominik, 25, widower, twins Antonin and Elzbieta, 9.
* Agnieszka, 22, misfit
* Giertruda, 21, married to Krais the Butcher; two children
* Petronela, 19
* Otto, 14
* Lucasz, 13

* Jozef, deceased at age 5, May 206 - Bloody Flux
* Mateusz, Piotr's son, deceased at age 5, September 207 - Ashfiend's attack
* Laranna, Dominik's wife, deceased at age 20, September 207 - Ashfiend's attack

This is tempered, somewhat, by being married to the scholar-knight Aleksei River, who encourages her to actually look at situations for what they truly are before using violence. She has also been quieted a little by her experiences as a member of the King's Own in Razasan, an experience she rarely talks about.

She spent much of her short life living in the same little sharecropper's hovel on the same little farm in the same little corner of Myrken Wood with the same seven members of her boisterious, foul-mouthed, slightly-criminal immigrant family. Like many of her peers, she had cultivated a healthy mistrust of the aristocracy and of the military; this is tempered a little with Glenn Burnie, whom she holds a distinct loyalty to and whom she considers one of her best friends, and with the commander of the King's Own, Constantine Kostroma. She does not trust anyone from Thessilane; that comes from the betrayal and demon-possession of Aeryn Karolinger, the death of Kerrak al'Nerun and her own ideas of what freedom should look like.

Agnieszka is more literate than she was, having been taught her letters by Aeryn Karolinger and Aleksei River, but she talks like a brassy, well-wrought auctioneer. She is canny, bony, and black-haired, loyal where life calls for loyalty, and hopelessly hopeful. The Broken Dagger has been a revelation for the young farmhand: from her first exposure to Myrken's movers and shakers, she's hung around the place attempting to cobble a better life for herself out of their scraps, leavings, and occasional generous offers.

Growing up in Myrken Wood has prompted her to take what she can get, and usually, what she can get is quite a bit.

Currently
Agnieszka has married Aleksei River and is currently taken up with fortifying the Ringwall against what she sees as a possible Thessilanean advance.

Channe:

Founded over six hundred years ago by the city fathers of Janeiro, a city near the base of the Red Hills in the province of Almark, the Brotherhood of Janeiro has gone from the civil militia of the town to a mercenary company of elite cavalry. Previously led by the late Kerrak al'Nerun, the Brotherhood currently serves under Marshal Aeryn Karolinger and are stationed in the province of Myrken Wood, having retaken their roll as a provincial militia... for a price, of course.

History
Originally formed by the mayoral council of Janerio, in the principality of Almark, some six hundred and fifty years ago. They were created to form the backbone of defense against the raiding bands from the Thesil meadows, and the occasional tribe of Orc that would come down from the Red Hills. They served in this capacity until the people of the Meadowlands were gathered under a single banner some hundred years later. Then they assisted in holding back the invading horde until the clash at Sesvyr, which saw the defeat of the Prince of Almark at the hands of the Thane of Meadowford. At this point, the province of Almark was annexed and added to the slowly growing kingdom.

From there they were offered entrance into the unruly army of horsemen that would eventually become the Army of the Meadowlands, adding to it a staunch force of footmen where once there was naught. They remained with the conquering armies until the First Consolidation nearly a hundred years later. By this time all but the troublesome city of Orvere and the island nation of Jaheuss had withstood the conquering forces of the Meadowlanders, and the services of the Brotherhood were no longer needed. So, the grandsons of the men who had departed with the original Brotherhood returned home, and found that they weren’t truly wanted.

Time had changed these returning men, time and conflict, and this made them feel ill at ease when they returned to their ancestral home. Collectively they had seen and participated in so much more than their kin that they would eventually pull up roots. A year after returning to Janerio, they once again offered their services to the newly installed Baron of Almark, to serve as a mercenary company in and around the province. Since then, that is what they did. Right up until the Schism after the death of Duke Geran.

From thence they joined with the Loyalist forces that sided with the Erebus Redclaw, the Thane of Meadowford, against the Usurper-Baron Adolph Karl Wiglaf. They formed the official company sent from Almark to defend the Ducal capitol and await the return of the Heir, Burel Tassnehof, who had been sent into hiding until he was old enough to retake the throne. It was during this time the most notable members of the Brotherhood were to join. Amongst them being Kerrak al'Nerun, Jons Feul, Gerhard Karolinger and Damien Stanislav. It was also during this time that the Brotherhood separated from their roots as a company traditionally centered around the foot soldier, to a band that preferred tactical mobility and flexibility. And so, they became a company of horse.

Current Status
Captain Kerrak al'Nerun brought the Brotherhood out of a recently pacified Almark and into the territory of Myrken Wood, where he sought to help protect the troubled land from the various depredations and troubles that wrack the region. They offered their services to the Order of Straka on several occasions, assisting in the patrols that traveled the length of Giscard’s Wall, dispatching long-term sorties into the woodlands of Myrken where Straka were not prepared (or trained) to go, and assisting travelers coming through the North Passage Down and the Gilroy Pass. In general, they became part of the defence of the province, to the extent that their Captain served for a time as Councilor for Defence and Civil Security.

The Brotherhood continued to hire out their services for small skirmishes in Amasynia, Heath and Derry while their full presence was not in demand within Myrken. All this changed, of course, with the termination of the Order of Straka’s commission and contract with Myrken Wood.

Following Straka’s dissolution Kerrak installed the Brotherhood in as the new primary defensive force of the region, going so far as to reincorporate those from the Order of Straka who still felt strongly about defending their homeland. This has swelled their numbers some considerable amount (let no one say that the stalwart members of Straka were cowards) which means that the Brotherhood can perform all of the duties of their predecessors and more. It also adds some legitimacy to their calling, as many of those who now where the grey and black of Janerio once wore the indigo of Straka.

Janeiro's presence is most heavily felt all along the Wall that circles the province, where they serve as border guards. The only place that the Brotherhood has had to forestall their usual patrols is in the deeper woodlands and along the throughways into other provinces.

Which is why they are recruiting even more men into their ranks. They have been seen trying to encourage others who had left the Order of Straka to rejoin their brethren, as well as inviting youths around town into their ranks. All one has to do is survive the first two weeks of training…
No matter what he does, Coriolanus Helstone remains, in essence, a very good lawyer.

Known to friends as 'Cory,' Helstone is a native of the eastern Amasynian town of Collingford, where his father has been appointed Lord Mayor for three decades. He studied law at a prestigious university there before setting up a private practice in Myrkentown and eventually entering politics. After rising to the position of Governor, he was deposed in a bloody military coup by Altias Bromn and was subsequently named Lord of the Aubreyne in Amasynia.

He prides himself in maintaining a high level of sartorial fastidiousness, and has a wardrobe to be admired. On the town or in the courtroom, his hair is always perfect and his hands always neat; visitors to his office are known to notice its remarkable state of cleanliness.

To support his high standard of living, Helstone was a prolific worker, helping Myrkenites settle and process real estate disputes, draw up wills, mediate controversies and fix the day-to-day affairs of town, and also spent quite a bit of time in trial as both prosecution and defense in criminal cases. Although he was not known to take pro-bono or charity cases, his fees are not known to be too exorbitant.

Helstone keeps a brusque, businesslike exterior, but is generally a pleasant and genial face to meet. He is shy rather than suave when it comes to women, and remains a quiet but effective voice when speaking out about matters of Myrken Wood law, which he does quite often. He prefers diplomacy to swordplay and frowns on military solutions when lawful, book-borne resolutions can be gained. He also has a bit of a ruthless streak, although for the most part it is sublimated beneath layers of propriety; it is not seen often.

Helstone spends a great deal of time in conversation with all sorts of people at the Broken Dagger, where he is known to drink black tea and the finest whiskey -- although that last beverage has only been in his hand since Rosamaria has been in town, it seems.

His father, Leonard Helstone, is the Lord Mayor of Collingford; his mother, Anna, an excellent socialite; his brother, Crispian, the Commander of the Army of the City, and his sister, Celia, an unmarriageable invalid.

Coriolanus Helstone has been recently named Lord of the Aubreyne, a land about a day-and-a-half travel from Myrken borders. He visits periodically to "take care of business." He calls Rosamaria Rameriz "Lady Aubrey," although neither he nor she wears a wedding ring. Of course, this may have something to do with the woman's seeming incapacity to remember the past few years...

Cases and Actions in Myrken Wood
-- In late April of AR 207, a force of soldiers from the Brotherhood of Janeiro, acting in the name of Altias Bromn, deposed Helstone in a bloody military coup known as the Battle of Haberdasher's Row. After a short time in their home on Baker Street, Helstone and Rosamaria intend on retreating to a small town on Fisherman's Bay and leaving Myrken.

-- He acceded to the office of Governor of Myrken Wood in November of AR 206 through legal measures set out by former interim Governor, Giscard Guillaume. He dissappeared for a period of a month, in which General Eriks DeMord Sleipner seemed to claim and take hold of the defense and day-to-day governance of the province, but has been recently seen back at work in the interim Meetinghouse, a tiny building he owns on Haberdasher's Row.

-- Helstone currently lives in a smallish house on Baker Street, and spends most of his time at his building on Haberdasher's Row, which he has used as a temporary Meetinghouse.

-- In March AR 207, Helstone established the Myrkentown Constabulary, appointing Cinnabar Calomel its first commander. He also accepted pledges of financial support from Derry, New Dauntless, and Thessilane, and has announced plans to spend money on a new Meetinghouse, the Constabulary, and a considerable amount of agricultural and commercial support to boost the town's economy.

-- In December AR 206, he banned from Myrken Wood a set of channelers sent by Duke Burel of Thessilane; the ban was lifted the next April.

-- In the summer of AR 205, Helstone served as counsel during a trial accusing then-Governor Altias Bromn, his bodyguard Ariane Carnath-Emory, and tavern bartender Mikhail of multiple counts of murder outside the Broken Dagger tavern. He secured a complete acquittal on grounds of self-defense and extenuating circumstances.

-- That fall, Helstone represented Councilor Suede Roschen when the Councilor was accused by Straka Captain Thomas Daniels of black-market activity and a possible slaying. Roschen has since been reinstated to the Council, and Helstone remains tight-lipped about his involvement with that matter.

*High Constable Cinnabar Calomel has purchased Jan Baker's farm, rendering null and void the indenture contracts of his workers and instead employing them as fully-invested renters and tenants.--Channe 05:49, 28 August 2007 (PDT)

*Duke Burel Gaius Tassnehof of Thessilane declares his nation no longer under the control of the Trae Kelsan crown. Also, rumor of another uprising of Orcs in the region between the Red Hills and Heath are brewing. Border patrols are increased accordingly. --Burel 21:05, 27 August 2007 (PDT)

*The quiet town of Foggy Bottom has been struck by a sorcerous plague of madness lasting three full days and resulting in significant property damage and loss of life; assailed by nightmarish memories and visions, the townsfolk were robbed of their senses and turned upon each other and themselves in their anguish. This atrocity is believed to be the work of the reviled Teron Ashfiend, who remains at large after the recent assault upon his lair at the Priory of Snowstill. Efforts are under way to render aid to the survivors, under the direction of the Myrkentown Constabulary. --majic13 09:57, 27 August 2007 (PDT)

*The assault upon Snowstill Priory took place as planned, with forces from the Shepherd Knights of the Silver Staff, the Gray Lancers and the Myrkentown Constabulary besieging the Ashfiend in his lair. The ghoul's undead army was eventually defeated, though at considerable cost to the assaulting forces; despite the expedition's failure to slay the Ashfiend, the effort to rescue the kidnapped barmaid Teddi proved successful and the ghoul was driven from the Priory's ruins, leading the mission to be declared an overall victory. --majic13 09:57, 27 August 2007 (PDT)

*Malaroth Deucalios finalizes plans to move against the Council's wishes and lead an assault upon the Priory of Snowstill where the Ashfiend is known to make his lair. The Shepherd Knight has asked any capable people would fight for Myrken Wood's safety to step forward and join the attack. The assault is planned for Sunday, August 19th. --Malaroth 18:13, 14 August 2007 (PDT) -->

*Agnieszka Kaczmarek recently celebrated her eighteenth birthday with a rather loud, rather drunken party at the Broken Dagger inn. Luckily, no-one was hurt. --Channe 12:18, 14 August 2007 (PDT)

* Jan Baker, widower and landowner of a moderately-sized farm a mile or so from the Broken Dagger inn, was murdered in his home recently. The Myrkentown Constabulary has yet to name a suspect. --User:Channe 04:46, 6 August 2007 (PDT)

* Zalin Savoy, older brother to Alastir Savoy, has come to Myrkenwood. Also, he's become one of the new chefs at the Dagger. --Alastir 08:28, 14 August 2007 (PDT)

* Loxy the pixie, enraged by the actions of a barbarian pixie named Krynn who is at war with muffins in the Broken Dagger, pits his will against the warrior on the battleground of the bartop, for the very first time. Their encounter has forged what will undoubtedly be a life-long loathing for one another. Do not be surprised, Broken Dagger Patrons, if you order a muffin, only to be served a pair of pixies clashing swords on your plate. --66.32.218.140 11:43, 14 August 2007 (PDT)

* Zayken has reappeared and declared war upon the Broken Dagger. Although he has been largely quiet so far, those that know the creature can surely expect the worst yet to come. --Pharris 12:26, 14 August 2007 (PDT)

* Winifred Lawson and her sister, Evangeline Lawson, have recently arrived in Myrken Wood with the intention of opening up a dress shoppe. Thus far, no luck in locating a rental--the young women are taking it in stride, still rooming at the inn. --Tara 14:58, 14 August 2007 (PDT)

The Kaczmareks are a loud, slightly criminal, immigrant family of ten, including:

They are currently serving out a twenty-year stint as bondsmen to the Bakers, where they take care of horses, sheep, and other farm animals in exchange for repayment of immigration costs and a roof over their head.

They are currently serving out a twenty-year stint as bondsmen to the Bakers, where they take care of horses, sheep, and other farm animals in exchange for repayment of immigration costs and a roof over their head.

Calomel was responsible for the Myrkentown Constabulary forces involved in the Battle of Haberdasher's Row, in which a mob of disenfranchised citizens under Altias Bromn's direction and accompanied by a contingent of Janeiro soldiers commanded by Aeryn Karolinger marched against the Meetinghouse with the goal of forcibly removing Governor Helstone from office. After a brief stand-off and even briefer skirmish the dissidents were successful in their endeavour; in the process six Constables were slain and many more were injured, including the High Constable himself.

Cinnabar has since recovered from his injuries sufficiently to return to his duties; he also continues his training as an apprentice swordsman under the tutelage of Tempestro Starr, and takes care to spend time each day going through drills, forms and exercises, further honing his skills. He has on occasion crossed practice blades with Agnieszka Kaczmarek and come off the loser against the more experienced fencer, which is something he seems intent on rectifying.
No matter what he does, Coriolanus Helstone remains, in essence, a very good lawyer.

Known to friends as 'Cory,' Helstone is a native of a well-established family in the eastern Amasynian town of Collingford. He studied law at a prestigious university there before setting up a private practice in Myrkentown and eventually entering politics. After rising to the position of Governor, he was deposed in a bloody military coup by Altias Bromn and is now living in exile with his personal guard, Rosamaria Rameriz, in a small seaside town on Fisherman's Bay in Amasynia.

Currently
In late April of AR 207, a force of soldiers from the Brotherhood of Janeiro, acting in the name of Altias Bromn, deposed Helstone in a bloody military coup known as the Battle of Haberdasher's Row. After a short time in their home on Baker Street, Helstone and Rosamaria intend on retreating to a small town on Fisherman's Bay and leaving Myrken.

He acceded to the office of Governor of Myrken Wood in November of AR 206 through legal measures set out by former interim Governor, Giscard Guillaume. He dissappeared for a period of a month, in which General Eriks DeMord Sleipner seemed to claim and take hold of the defense and day-to-day governance of the province, but has been recently seen back at work in the interim Meetinghouse, a tiny building he owns on Haberdasher's Row.

Helstone currently lives in a smallish house on Baker Street, and spends most of his time at his building on Haberdasher's Row, which he has used as a temporary Meetinghouse.

Cases and Actions

He prides himself in maintaining a high level of sartorial fastidiousness, and has a wardrobe to be admired. On the town or in the courtroom, his hair is always perfect and his hands always neat; visitors to his office are known to notice its remarkable state of cleanliness.

To support his high standard of living, Helstone is a prolific worker, helping Myrkenites settle and process real estate disputes, draw up wills, mediate controversies and fix the day-to-day affairs of town, and has also spent quite a bit of time in trial as both prosecution and defense in criminal cases. Although he is not known to take pro-bono or charity cases, his fees are not known to be too exorbitant. For most affairs, at least.

Helstone keeps a brusque, businesslike exterior, but is generally a pleasant and genial face to meet around town.

After a few alarming encounters, he hired a childhood friend, Rosamaria Rameriz, to serve as his personal security, and has been rarely seen without her in public.

Helstone spends a great deal of time in conversation with all sorts of people at the Broken Dagger, where he is known to drink black tea and the finest whiskey -- although that last beverage has only been in his hand since Rosamaria has been in town, it seems.

Currently
In late April of AR 207, a force of soldiers from the Brotherhood of Janeiro, acting in the name of Altias Bromn, deposed Helstone in a military coup. After a short time in their home on Baker Street, Helstone and Rosamaria intend on going North and leaving Myrken.

The Myrken Wood Judiciary Council is the local governing body of Myrken Wood. Although the Council is technically supposed to answer to the Trae Kelsan Crown, it has been granted a significant amount of autonomy. The Council is chaired by a quaint number of selected officials, is comprised of the land's independent lawmakers. While Myrken Wood is considered to be the heart of the Amasynian province, expansion into local government was found to be necessary.

The Council, meeting at scheduled times each week, hears and decides on a great number of Myrken Wood's land laws. In addition to governing the woodland, the jurisdiction allows that the Judiciar (and his council) may deliver sentences of punishment for those who do not abide all governing laws.

Current Councilors
*Altias Bromn - Governor (self-named)
*Aston Jylan Aldred - Councilor of Defence and Civil Security
*Rondeau Spier - Councilor of Trade and Commerce
*Vanidor Goldenhair - Councilor of Agriculture
*Aloisius Treadwell - Councilor of Administrative Sanctions

Past Councilors (Mentioned IC or in supporting OOC materials)
*Coriolanus Helstone - deposed in a coup by Altias Bromn, April, AR 207
*General Eriks DeMord Sleipner -- released from position; previous obligations, January, AR 207
*Suede Roschen - Councilor of Agriculture -- shop closed and presumed missing, possibly dead, as of January, AR 207
*Captain Kerrak al'Nerun - Councilor of Defence and Civil Security -- presumed dead in battle while in office, August, AR 206
*Joseph O'Cynen - Councilor of Agriculture -- deceased in office, January, AR 205
*Tetsi Avarante - Councilor of Alcohol and Goods -- deceased in office, June, AR 203
*Gad Phuri - Governor -- deceased in office, March/April?, AR 203
*Maxwell Beauregard - Governor -- deceased in office, August, AR 150
*Raymond Elias - Scribe and Councilor of Administrative Sanctions -- deceased in office, March, AR 146

Procedure
While its primary concerns are for matters associated with taxation, properties and funding, the council will hear all proposals of its citizens. Queries will be answered in scheduled order at all public meetings, and concerns addressed. Judgements will be won by popular vote of <I>all</i> seated councilors.

In the event that the council is without decision, the Judiciar will determine the outcome of any number of public concerns.

The Council also functions as both judge and jury, in cases of lawlessness. Council-appointed barristers may represent any who fall under Myrken Wood jurisdiction, unless a person wishes to represent himself or herself. A trial for conviction may be necessary if all parties responsible for the mistreatment of justice do not concur.

Any person(s) responsible for the purposeful misuse or abuse of Myrken Wood law will be tried, without question, and potentially convicted by the Judiciar.

Succession
Upon the death of a Governor, the most senior of the Councilors takes the position of Interim Governor on top of his other duties.

An interim governor may serve a term of up to six months before the appointment of a man to the permanent position must be made by the remaining members of the Council. During that time, the interim governor serves in all capacities as Judiciar and legal Governor of Myrken Wood. They may use the Governor's seal and sit in his chair, although this has been considered by many to be bad form.

Should the interim Governor perish in his office, the second longest-tenured Councilor takes the position for another six months.
The tales of Colonel Solomon John Jacob Jeremy Law MacAllister the Third, Esq. are nearly legendary, being known throughout the land as the premiere Mouser and Rat-catcher in the known world and the undisputed Hero of the Redallian Wars - at least, if one travels through the right circles. Mice and rats fear him, toms want to be him, and queens think they can change him.

Solomon John is a rather dapper example of a long-haired manx cat, hailing from the tiny Isle of Manne off the north coast of Amasynia. He stands at about a foot and a half, and weighs six pounds. His coat is luxurous, a soft brown-grey that sports darker tabby markings; muzzle, chin, and throat sporting a silky white bib, looking almost like a beard. His whiskers are carefully maintained, kept neat and waxed. When not on call, the manx sports a rich coat of velvet red and yellow-cream, small, highly-polished shoes, and carries a distinguished, gold-tipped cane. Those golden eyes are the last sight of many a rodent and pest on this mortal earth.

He is descended from Royalty, though the tom is far too modest to bring it up; his mother was the ruling Queen of Manne. Though he was only one kitten in a sea of many litters born to Her Royal Majesty, even from birth it was obvious that he would be something far more special than just another wandering male. His wit, athletic abilities, and reflexes were praised even at a young age; however, as his Naming ceremony was completed, he quitely slipped away from court life and into the Wilds.

He dabbled in many things during this time, wandering as males are wont to do; serenading young, blushing females from the roof-tops, stalking wild hares upon the gently rolling hills, and even spending time in human company, hunting rats and mice and other such verminous beasties. It was here his reputation grew as a first-rate Mouser, and many a farmer would glow with happiness to see the distinctive magnificence of his form stalking about their fields and barns.

These were happy times, but they, like all things, were not to last; for a vicious evil rose in the depths of the earth, an ancient enemy of all catdom - a shadowy threat known only as the Adversary. He grew powerful even as the cats of Manne grew fat in their complacency, save for those like Solomon who chose to live in self-imposed exile. Casting a covetous eye over the cat's domain, his jealousy and rage grew - for the Adversary had once been a cat, until his wicked ways caused him to be cast down into the depths of hell. Twisted beyond recognition, he and his minions led a slaughter against cat and man alike.

The Redallian Wars began, and the tom was the first to answer the call. The humans cowered in their villages and homes, terrified of the howling evils outside; it was up to the cats of Manne to rescue their island, and to stop the demon spread from devouring the world. Many lives were lost, many battles fought - until the final fight in the depths of the earth, the Demon-cat's domain itself. Solomon's claws were not the only ones to dig into the Adversary's rotting flesh, whiskers singed from the hellish fires, but he and his command crushed the Adversary, thehell-cat's shadowy minions disappearing like ghosts upon the wind.

Hailed as a hero, Manne had been saved at the price of so many of its cats; perhaps it was this reason, and the fresh memory of the desperate battle with the Adversary, that the tom quietly quit the Isle - begining life anew as a ship's cat. Always the wanderer he, though older and fatter, Solomon now comes to Myrken Wood eager for hunting prospects.

Description:
Eyes: Blue
Hair: Black with graying around the temples
Height: 6'0"
Weight: 210 lbs
Age: Looks to be in his early to mid 40's.
Other distinguishing marks:
- A scar along right side of his face, starting at the brow and curving out to stop an inch below the eye.
- Three scar marks on his left cheek, appearing as if he had been vicious scratched or slashed with a three bladed (or clawed) weapon.
- Numerous scar and old burn marks covering his chest, shoulders and back. These are usually hid at all times since the man rarely removes his shirt in public.
Other descriptive notes:
-Bishop looks his age, that of a middle aged man who's seen plenty (one can say *too* much) action. His face has a weathered, but handsome look about it, and he suffers from a five o'clock shadow almost constantly after noontime, even if he shaves in the morning, which he does religiously.

Since Bishop has joined the Brotherhood of Janeiro, he's almost always seen in the gray and black uniform of his newfound employer, and because he's been given command of the Cavalry Division, his black riding boots (usually shined, but not always) are adorned with spurs. He also wears white kid-skin riding gloves when out in the field and a wide brimmed black hat with two lances embroidered on the front to signify his Cavalry status with the Brotherhood. His civilian dress is a little more simple; bone-white button down shirt (which is worn under his uniform jacket when on duty), dark brown breeches, black leather vest, and a heavy gray duster when out on the trail.

The one weapon he seems to carry almost exclusively is a katana which is sheathed on his left hip, though the man is known to employ other weapons and tools to help him out of a situation, these are generally kept in the assorted pouches that can be found on his weapon's belt.

The man also wears a simple gold band around his right ring finger, the only piece of jewlery found on him. Inquiring about the ring might bring about a misty gaze and little more unless prodded for more information, then you'd either get a fist in the face or the true story. Matters on how much he's had to drink.

Personality:
Max Bishop can be described as a man who tries to do what he believes as right. Sometimes that requires him to go against the established laws and rules of a particular land, but if his actions soothe his conscience, then he's okay with it. Just so long as he can look himself in the mirror the next day. Though, despite that roguish quality, he *does* try to do his best to be law-abiding; he's not the type to break the established rules when it suits him, only when he believes it to be necessary.

There is a 'knight in shining armour' quality to the man, but Max Bishop hardly fits the archetypical norm. He drinks, curses, smokes (on occassion known to chew tobacco too), and womanizes, though this latter quality in the man has mellowed somewhat (so far!), and he seems content these days to simply settle down. In spite of all those vices, Bishop is always willing and able to lend his hand to those who are in need of help, (usually) no matter who they are. It's not uncommon to hear the man say to a stranger; "I'm Maxwell Bishop, and I'm here to help you."

Along with that kindness, though, comes with it some baggage unfortunately. Bishop is the type of person who always *needs* to be doing something, to be active. If he's allowed to become idle and come under his own devices, Bishop will fall into what's better described as a dark mood. He'll reminice over what was, mourn over what has happened in his life, dwell over his past losses, and will general and simply pout, feeling sorry for himself; usually with the help of ales with whiskey chasers.

Fortunately, as quickly as he falls under that spell of self depreciation, doubt, loathing and pity, he can come out of it just as fast. Usually with the hint of doing something greater and grander than he is, or even something as simple as a *job*.

History:
Maxwell Bishop isn't from Myrken Wood, or from any of the lands on or near it's borders. He hails from a land known at Khir Khira. A place, when asked how far away it is, he'll just describe as 'too damned far' and little else.

When Bishop and his two siblings, Shannon and Frank, were born to Sarah and Maxwell Sr., Khir Khira was embroiled in a bitter war against the Orc Clans of the east, seeking to take over and remove the human populace of the west. Max Sr. was a Captain in the Khir Khiran Cavalry and was known to be away for long periods of time at the front line, leaving Sarah Bishop to raise thier three children alone for most of the time. Max Sr. saw fit to move his family to Khiranabrook, a small town near the border, so he could at least visit them when he was given leave or fallow time.

Though, as fate would have it, Max Sr was home with his family the day that the Orcs came to Khiranabrook. The three children were playing in a field behind thier modest home outside of town when the first wave of Orcish attackers fell upon them. Max Jr, being the eldest, hurried his two younger siblings to the house before they were over run, and their father came out to defend his family.

The last image Bishop has of his father is that of him drawing his sabre and charging out the front door to face the green-skinned invaders, trying to protect his family.

Sarah quickly herded her three children into the cellar, hoping that if they hid, they'll be over-looked by the Orcs. She did her best to quiet the three youngesters down, then left Max Jr in charge before ascending to the stairs to see what had befallen her husband.

Half an hour passed before smoke started to fill the cellar. The Orcs had laid torch to the home after pillaging it. Quickly Max Jr tried to coax his brother and sister out of the cellar, declaring that if they were to survive, they needed to leave. Frank, always being jealous of his older brother, refused to leave and Shannon was simply too terrified to move. So, the young Maxwell declared that he was going out alone and that he'd find help and come back for them.

That was the last time he saw either of his siblings again, for a very long time, at least.

Upstairs, Maxwell found his home ablaze and the wrecked remains of his mother, who had her skull crushed by an Orcish blade. He pulled her body from the house and ran for help, but found that the rest of the town had been similarly attacked.

Exhausted, scared, alone and grieving, the young Maxwell crawled into a stable that had been left standing after the attack and fell asleep. The next morning he found that a regiment of Khir Khiran Cavalry had arrived into town, and that one of the officers was a friend of Max Sr's. The man told the young Bishop that they had found his house a charred and smoking mess, and that there was no sign anyone alive inside it.

He was now an orphan, both parents and siblings dead.

Afterwards, Bishop was taken to the capital of Khir Khira, Khirana, where his only surviving kin lived. Herald Bishop, his great-uncle, and a High Captain in the prestigious Khir Khira Air Armada. A fleet of massive and mighty airships that ruled the skies over the kingdom.

Under his great-uncle's guidance, Bishop learned all there was to know about airships, the Air Armada, and the honour of being an airman. After becoming of age at 16, Bishop enrolled at the Khir Khiran Air Academy to hopefully, one day, become an officer in the Air Armada.

In his first year as a plebe, Bishop gained reknown as a studeous and hardworking cadet, getting the best grades and honours in all his classes. He was also given commendations for winning gold medals and first place ribbons in assorted track and sporting events. During his second year, he met Zorica Rhaynes, another second year cadet who matched him in almost everything he did.

At first it was a rivalry between the two best students in their year, but soon it evolved into a more romantic relationship with the two sneaking out after lights-out to spend more intimate time together. They both graduated at the top of thier class after thier fifth and final year at the Academy, and, as luck would have it, both were assigned to the same airship, the KAS Reliant, after becoming full Ensigns.

Though, war still raged through Khir Khira against the Orc and Goblin clans, and despite Max and Zorica's ship romance (that quickly became legendary aboard ship), there were battles to be fought and losses to be suffered. After serving a year aboard the Reliant, the airship took part in one of the largest air battles in Khir Khiran history. The Battle of Kharania Falls.

The Reliant, being a small destroyer class airship, was ahead of the main line of ships as a skirmisher and screener, when she encountered the main line of Orc battleships. A heated battle erupted between the Reliant and two larger Orcish cruisers, with Bishop on the bridge serving as helmsmen and Zorica below decks.

Unfortunately for the Reliant, the battle was painfully short. One of the Orc cruisers scored a hit with her port battery of magi-cannon (cannons that are powered by powerful and magical Valeris Shards, and fire blasts of pure magical energy), and the hit landed directly where Zorica commanded her own battery of magi-cannon. Another blast came in on the bridge, killing both the Captain and first mate, leaving Bishop the only officer in command.

With the ship on fire and under heavy attack, he ordered a retreat and landed the ship as soon as possible to abandon it. It wasn't until the ship was safely a-ground that he learned, from his friend since his plebe year, Montgomery Dougal, that Zorica had been killed soon after the first shots were fired.

Grieving, but not giving up, Bishop refused leave time, and went back into the fight. His actions at Kharania Falls earned him the Bronze Starburst for Valor, and a promotion to Lieutenant. From there Bishop and his friend Montgomery (or Monty as Bishop called him) went on to serve throughout the war, both earning many more commendations, medals and promotions.

Bishop's first command as a full Captain came after the war was finally ended and he was given the KAS Gambit with Monty as his hand-picked first officer. There the two met Tyreal, a strange elf hailing from the Southern Green Mountains, who served as their second officer aboard ship.

It wasn't long after Bishop got this command when Falyar Tar'en, feeling that the current king, Ghaelan, had become corrupted by dark forces and started the long, bloody war with the Orcs to solidify his power and control, rebelled and plunged Khir Khira into a Civil War.

At first Bishop rejected Falyar's claims that the king had become mad and was guilty of murdering his own people. He sided with the loyalists and fought against Falyar's forces for a short time, scoring a major victory against Rebels at the Battle of North Peak.

Though, Bishop's loyalty to the king was short-lived. When he received orders from the War Council to lay waste to the major western city of Ta'hara, because the people starving there raided a Royal cache of food, Bishop switched allegences, offering his ship, crew and services to Air Commander Tar'en.

Fortunately, the Civil War was short, and Ghaelan was soon ousted from the throne. After a popular vote, Falyar Tar'en was crowned the new king of Khir Khira, and one of his first acts was to promote Bishop to High Captain. This gave Bishop a new command, the KAS Skyhawk, one of the newest, largest and most powerful airships in the Armada, along with a whole squadron of airships to oversee. Bishop took most of his crew and officers with him to this new ship and command (of course including the ever loyal Monty and Tyreal).

After Falyar became king, he opened relations with the Elementian Empire, a realm that shared many qualities and goals as Khir Khira. As the two nations grew closer, as did their peoples.

Again, though, a new threat faced Khir Khira and it's name was Lady Katrina De'Archer. A woman who schemed to overthrow Falyar's rule and place herself upon his throne. Bishop did his part to battle this new threat at the side of his king, but crossed a line when he attempted to gain De'Archer's trust and seemed to entertain selling his loyalties for gold.

Falyar caught wind of this supposed treachery by one of his most loyal officers and confronted Bishop, who attempted to explain what he was trying to do. Unfortunately Falyar refused to believe him and a fist fight erupted between the two, it ending when Bishop handed the king his resignation and walked away from his career.

After leaving the Air Armada, Bishop purchased The Ares, a small scout airship, which he used for privateering and transport jobs. Both Monty and Tyreal resigned their commissions to join their Captain in this venture. It was on a transport job, where Bishop took aboard contraband cargo unknowningly, and found himself being chased by an Air Armada patrol over the South Khirana Sea. To avoid arrest and confiscation of his ship, Bishop discovered the contraband (stolen artwork, jewlery and gold) and had it dumped into the sea below.

The man who commissioned The Ares to transport the illicit cargo, Gehring Kilmoure, a infamous underworld figure, placed a bounty on Bishop's head for dumping the valuable cargo and not repaying the sum a privateer Captain could never hope to see in his life time.

One of the bounty hunters that came after Bishop was his future wife, Meagan Serridan.

<more to come later>
Though claiming to be seventeen, the small girl who sometimes visits the Broken Dagger hardly looks a day over fifteen. Though her pale, barely-freckled features are striking, they have the unfinished appearance of youth, giving some hint that when she matures they may be perhaps even stunning in their beauty. Blue-black hair seemingly at all times held in a tightly woven braid that falls to her mid-shoulderblades, she does not fuss over her appearance as so many other females might. More often than not, the young girl might be found draped in over-large tunics and breeches that conceal a frame which seems completely devoid of any feminine curves. Even her hands are constantly concealed in dove-gray gloves of butter-like leather. Her eyes are a simple hazel, wrought of emerald irises interrupted by a starburst of nearly orange-gold about either pupil. Sun-touched eyes that seem to sparkle with good humor at most times, accentuated by a cheerful smile. If the girl takes anything serious, it is rare, and even more rarely seen by others.

Background
Very little is known about Maeve's background. She claims to have no surname with which to give to others in introduction, but none have asked enough to gain a better explanation. The simple peasant girl appeared at the tavern near the beginning of cultists attacks against the governor, Altias Bromn. With time, it seemed that the girl had some connection to the bartender, Mikhail, though it remains unexplained to this day. Considering the man's rather unsociable nature, that could perhaps be due to the lack of any wishing to question the man about why he sometimes acts much like a gruff older brother to the girl. Through the bartender, she has grown close to Molly O'Neill as well, whom she still sometimes visits when the scarred barkeep is not around. While claiming to have a fiancee named Glavain, and even having brought him to meet a few of the tavern's patrons, the girl is more often found on her own. What a handsome elven man might have found to love in a little peasant human girl with a heavy, and sometimes rather annoying accent remains a mystery.

Most Recently
Much to the distaste of Mikhail of late, the young girl seems to have found herself in a very different circumstance for living. Though she does not often talk about it, she has a far stricter cerfew and less time to spend at the tavern. Still, she is usually rather cheerful and without any regret for whatever it is that has changed her lifestyle, and can still be found wandering in from time to time.

Korlin is around twelve years old, no one can be entirely certain due to the nature of his past. He stands at four feet and eight inches, not quite old enough for that next growth spurt to push him to a more respectable height, and his frame is relatively skinny at ninety-four pounds. He has short fuzzy white hair on his head and skin a nice even tan from the sun. His eyes are a deep brown that dart around constantly trying to keep track of everything going on at any given time.

The child was born originally as a wolf, but bore the lycanthropy curse for his entire life. It wasn't until he reached adolescence that he changed for the first time, transforming into a raging werewolf that was bent only on destruction. His frenzied path took him through the forests to the stables of the Broken Dagger where he slew two horses before Alchydiir took him down with an arrow and nasty dagger wound to his back.

When he reverted forms into a child, instead of the wolf body that he had known his entire life he was terribly frightened and disoriented. Alchydiir enlisted the aid Tiludwa, an orc woman, and together they managed to restrain the boy enough to dose him with herbs that sedated the struggling child. They took him to the Rememdium Edificium to have his wounds treated, where they learned of his fast regenerative abilities.

Since the the Edificium was overcrowded with Bloody Flux patients Alchydiir opted to take the boy into his own care. He secured a room in the Dagger and spent the next several days trying to calm the boy enough for him to learn how to operate as a person instead of a wolf. He named the child Korlin and kept watch over him for several weeks. Eventually he was discovered by Daisy and Biske, who inducted him into their little pack and now he stays with her at her den.

Korlin still lacks a lot of basic comprehension in regards to the world of man, conversation slowly coming to him one word at a time through the teachings of Monty, Daisy, and Biske. He has picked up on a lot of things by watching others and attempting to mimic them. He is still very defensive and insecure, often fleeing when too many people are around, or assuming aggressive stances if he's cornered. He's learned that the tavern is an incredibly easy source of food, oftentimes meals are handed to him or are easily aquired in the kitchen.

Isn't he an NPC?
Jack Larose, elder brother of the (in)famous Larose twins of Thessilane, has indeed previously been merely a mentioned twinkle in the eye of the twins' owners. However, the potential within the character was excellent, and upon Jim's coming (back) to starchat and the dagger, it was obviously a logical choice to make this character a reality and full time PC. THUS begins the written life of Jack Larose as a PC, leaving the N long in his past.

History
Family Ties
Jack Larose was born the third child, second son, to Zane and Maris Larose in 176. When he was three a third boy joined the family in Riley Larose. As the middle child Jack found himself getting a bit left out now and again (especially as the middle of -five- children, and the middle boy,) So found it especially to his advantage to learn as much as he could so he was best at the chores. He was a little cocky about his skill when he was a boy, but really it earned him little in the eyes of his father - who expected it of all his boys. More children joined the Larose farm whenever another could be cooked up, the family grew quickly, but Jack always remained a hard worker. The final children were to be the twins Braddock and Bryce. The family prospered despite its size untill a few years after the twins were born.

The majority of the children struck terribly ill during a particularly harsh winter. The eldest children weren't terribly affected, but Tegan, Riley, Shannon, Reina, and Travis, and Lorina were hit particularly hard. Worst of all was Shannon, who just when she seemed to be getting better, died, followed almost immediately by Travis. When the disease passed, the youngest children miraculously kept away from the worst of it, Jack had a new appreciation and love for his siblings, having lost two.

He cared for the twin baby brothers quite often, helping not only with the farm work during the day, but also helping the women out by taking the boys off their hands at night for play here and again. It was quite true he was closest to the young boys, his elder and immediate younger brother and he never got along terribly well. As the twins grew in age and intelligence, Jack took it upon himself to help teach the young boys life lessons. The farm was having a few rough years due to a drought causing a lack of food for their various livestock. The father busy with that, Jack made himself extra time to help raise the twins during their crucial early years. Of course..the majority of this time was spent instructing them on how to get out of trouble and hide their various childish mishaps from the parents - both for their own wellbeing as well as the sanity of Zane and Maris during the stressful years.

Perhaps most important to the family, Jack was a key voice of insight and reason when it was discovered that Bryce could heal people's injuries. Along with his father, Jack recognized that the ability was not to be taken lightly, nor abused (especially considering Bryce's reciprocal sickness following). He aided Bryce through many of these years, but also gave Braddock a great deal of councel over the issue, as twins tend to have a very close relationship - things like that can get a bit...interesting.

Past Accomplishments
As mentioned, Jack is an incredibly quick learner. Anything he puts some thought into he can learn to do fairly well without much effort..with effort? Well his learning curves dramatically. He occasionally jokes to pretty young lasses that the phrase 'Jack of all trades' came from his legendary skill in nearly everything. Amusingly enough, that may not be terribly far from the truth. When he was roughly 16 it was found that he had a knack for arithmatic. He often went with his father to market to sell the livestock, aiding a great deal there.

When he was 21 he took on the role as chief negotiator in the sale of things, learning the shrewd nuances of being a merchant. Jack relished his time at market. It was the opportunity for him to get insight into other trades aside from raising livestock. Most interesting to him at the time were the trades of carpentry and leather working. Combined with what he already knew about being generally handy at the farm, Jack was soon taking on most of the repair jobs at home, be it bridle or bridge over a creek. He was quickly becoming the family handy man as his father aged and his other brothers had their own families to worry and care for.

Shortly before the twins left to Myrken Jack took it upon himself to learn how to smith, mostly due to the fact that their normal smith was getting rather old - and several horses had become sore due to improper shoing. Of course it was a preposterous idea, learning to smith at the age of 27. Of course...this is Jack Larose, the man who can learn anything - afterall, a couple years prior he'd started the arduous and ambitious goal of teaching himself to read.

Recent History
Jack has, over the past few years, taught himself to be a blacksmith. Originally starting as a logical way to save money by shoing the families own horses, Jack found a distinct love in the ability to work metal into whatever he wished. He learned quickly, by no means a master but certainly competent. Additionally he's become the first (and only thus far) member of the Larose family to learn to read and write. In the spring of 206, Jack told his father that he'd be leaving the farm before the summer ended, his brothers' families had boys old enough to start helping with the work afterall, and he was going to find Brad and Bryce, one of his goals being to get Brad to own up to the woman and child he had left back at the farm.

Upon arriving in Myrken, Jack spent a time hunting down his brothers. Upon a chance meeting of Lieutenant Bishop of the Brotherhood of Janeiro, Jack struck an accord with the calvary head, gaining his own forge at the fort in exchange for helping arm the soldiers should help be needed ( as well as a modest rent). Within three days of being in Myrken, Jack Larose had already set up a forge to start his new trade as a blacksmith.

Curin
Curin is a tall woman topping six feet with a muscular build. Her light brown hair is short so it stays out of her eyes and is always smoothed forward across her scalp. She has rich brown eyes and tends towards tan, brown, and grey clothing, taking especially good care of her boots and the long bastard sword that seems to always be in place in a specially designed scabbard across her back. She has an incredibly distinctive scar that passes from the fleshy part of her left check, through her lips to the middle of her right jaw, the scar making her lips twist grotesquely when she makes any expression aside from a blank face.

Though she presents a face of malice and pettiness to most people she encounters, she has a devious mind that works to arrange situations to her liking, which is usually violent encounters that end in her targets humiliation and pain. And if that fails, she is a creature imbued with chaos, though she is loathe to tell that tale and prefers to keep that aspect of herself hidden so it’s more of a surprise for her opponent if she feels she needs to use them.

Curin was hired into the Order of Straka briefly until it was discovered that she was brutalizing minor offenders during their apprehension, as well as falsifying information, such as claiming that Sill had stabbed her with her own Straka-issued dagger when in reality she’d stabbed herself, much to the gypsy’s shock. Her most notable offense was beating a man nearly to death after he stole from her, this man being Agnieszka’s father. The girl has been seeking out revenge ever since and Curin is quite fond of needling the girl until she explodes in anger.

Recently Curin has taken an interest in Bryce and Braddock Larose and she continues her strange at-times antagoizing, at-times protective relationship with Agnie.
