* Late night, February 13, Aloisius Treadwell found himself stumbling through the kitchen in search of supper. His subsequent fall smashed the cellar door and sent him toppling downstairs into the quicksand filled cellar. Ignas Demonsbane and Ariane Carnath-Emory scurried into motion to help him, and as of February 14, Aloisius lies in the Rememdium Edificium under Dr. D'Rael's care, his body one big, aching bruise and his feet and legs bandaged and aching thanks to Ignas's claws and the rope used to tug him unceremoniously upstairs. --Treadwell 08:55, 14 February 2007 (PST)

* Very early morning (2am) last Thursday, February 8th, the body of a brutally murdered and dismembered man was found in an alley two blocks from his home downtown. The details of the murder are being kept from the general public, but it is believed the suspect is at large. The two women living with him were visited by a priest of the One God, who offered to harbor them within the Church. His offer was accepted, and they were escorted there; the priest has not been seen since, though the women remain at the Church until they can find another place to stay.

* Late Tuesday evening saw the attempted arrest of one Michael Renne, an attempt abandoned following a turbulent clash of psionic energies. --Carnath-Emory 21:39, 6 February 2007 (PST)

* Tuesday evening, guards were summoned to a residence for reports of screams by concerned neighbours. The sights that greeted the guards left some a little shaken. The details of the scene are being kept under wrap, but rumors have spread that a man and woman were brutally attacked. The man was found alive and transported to the Rememdium Edificium for emergency care. The woman was found deceased and missing a limb, which remains unaccounted for. --Sadism 17:23, 6 February 2007 (PST)
Tebrin

140.142.138.76: Tebrin = pwn

A bold, some might say brazen treasure-hunter of questionable origin, Tebrin first found his way to Myrken six months ago. He has since proven to be rather mercurial: often surly, the man is some odd mix of swagger, cunning, brooding, sly humor, and drunken joviality. Noted for his particular love of scotch, the rogue can often be found nursing his addiction whenever he is within the Dagger's premises - and likely whenever he is not.

Even those he considers friends - a disappearingly small list, indeed - know nothing of Tebrin other than his personality and, to some extent, his profession. His origins, his history, his beliefs, his family, and his employment are never spoken of, and rarely does he even deign to discuss personal affairs with others unless they are of the superficial, transient variety. However, he is more than happy to hear about others, driving some to feel him manipulative and untrustworthy. How can one not suspect a man whose surname cannot even be discovered?

Still, Tebrin has a knack for showing up in the right place at the right time to help others, though he never seems thrilled to do so. Magdaelaena, the head of the local vampire menace, has taken a particular disliking to him after a scuffle where he interfered on Maxwell Bishop's behalf, attempting to prevent the Lieutenant's capture. Ultimately Magdaelaena would get her prize, but not without the cost of two of her children to the rogue's tricks. This would not be the only time that Tebrin has found himself aiding prominent figures within Myrken: aside from Maxwell Bishop, the list of those who have benefited from his often inexplicably opportune appearances include Ariane Carnath-Emory, Altias Bromn, Cornelius Helstone, Agnieszka Of-The-Unspellable-Surname Kaczamerek, and Rebecca Kincaid.

One of those few friends, Rebecca, made a rather astute observation regarding Tebrin's behavior within the Dagger - for whatever reason, he is often found entangled with a female adversary of some sort, in an entirely uneuphemistic way. Aside from Magdaelaena and one of her underlings (whose name I cannot remember, Nessa, please help me out here), the repulsive demon-thing DarkAngel and the decidedly non-repulsive demon-thing Lokelei have made hobbies of harassing the man. Even good friend Braunwyn exchanged a tiff with the man every now and again... and this is to say nothing of the Ariane-impersonating zombie that attacked him.

Whatever the case, Tebrin's motives remain a mystery. While he rarely (if ever) claims to aid out of the goodness of his heart, it is equally rare that he demands or specifies any form of payment. Highly irritated if favors are not reciprocated, it has been left to imnaginative minds to ponder what said reciprocation might entail. Whether it be money, artifacts, or protection, has not yet been discovered - but the man certainly does not seem a good samaritan.

Often found in the company of anyone who will drink alongside him, Braunwyn and Rebecca Kincaid are his two most common companions. Rumors abound regarding the relationships betwixt the trio, particularly given that Tebrin was once seen scuffling with Braunwyn's missing husband-to-have-been Lieutenant Maxwell Bishop, who has since disappeared.

Standing just over six feet, and weighing around 180 pounds, Tebrin possesses a lean and athletic figure. He dresses simply, in earthen-colored travelling gear consisting of doeskin trousers, soft tunic, on colder evenings a thick vest, and leather boots. About all of this he wraps a forest-green cloak from which he seems to pull an inordinately large variety of things, leading one to wonder whether the cloak really isn't much larger than it appears. Bronzed skin has been colored by the sun throughout his travels, providing a stark contrast to piercingly bright green eyes. Often stubbled along strong jaw and chin, he tends to shave often enough to avoid growing a full beard. The hair that crowns his head receives a bit less attention, allowing the light brown strands to grow long enough to naturally curl before ever bothering to trim. His voice is certainly foreign to Myrken, but easy to understand and to listen to. His speech patterns, on the other hand, are decidedly rough around the edges - un-necessary syllables or vowels are cut out or glazed over as desired, and his vocabulary is typically average. However, when placed in a position to do so, he has been known to display a much more educated style of speech.

For those who can detect such, practically everything Tebrin carries and wears is magical - from his clothing to his small golden pendant to his belt and its pouches. When observed in combat, Tebrin was seen to combine acrobatics and agility with admirable (though certainly not masterful) swordplay and a variety of trinkets and baubles pulled from within the depths of his cloak.

(Editorials welcome by other muns, also requesting anyone who thinks they have a suitable pic to offer it up!)
