It was a very personal sort of war for the young but determined government employee. It was the sort that he could not hope to lose. Today proved that. There was no time to waste, no time to plan. He had to act upon every idea he could come up with, go to anyone who might be able to help.
Thankfully, the first choice was easy enough.
A letter would be left at the Broken Dagger for a fairly recent arrival there. Hopefully the recipient could read it. If not, instructions were left to read it to him.
