Another Kindred Another Threat

Another Kindred Another Threat

Postby Keana » Sun Jun 29, 2003 12:29 am

The screams rang out yet another night. Within the last week, the bodies had piled up, and not of one or two people, yet bodies of small families and homeless.

Her son, only a day or so earlier had left a note for Aeri, tears within his eyes as he wrote.
~I am so sorry I couldnt stop her, I..I think they think its me. Please tell them I didnt do it, the young boy and mother I had drug inside..dead..Was NOT my doing. The father is within the hayloft of the barn, I couldnt move him. Trust me though, all have the same markings on their neck <presumably fang marks> and all have broken right arms. Im sorry..Dakar~

Yet now, as the one man had long since been removed, there were now 5 more bodies, all of the homeless, all but one 5 year old boy. She wanted a name for herself, she wanted the streanth, and now, she had both.

A cold crackling of laughter followed the Saturday night screams, and the one small boy ran for the gaol..the one who got away.
A soft rap on the door, then a louder more panicked one "Lemmi in..PLEASE!"

The guard stood and slowly opened the door to see the small boy soaked in blood stained clothing grasping for the man in uniform. "Shes the devil!" He screamed threw tears. "Silver eyes..red hair too see" He says holding up the small lock of hair he had ripped from the kindreds head. "they are all dead..all of them" He sniffled softly "All of my family.."

He explained her as red hair, standing about 6 feet tall and the stark silver eyes. Yet no other details were available for him to give, yet be sure, if all the information was placed together, she would be caught...wouldnt she?

For now, as each night go by, the homeless are seen less and less, and more bodies grew within the hayloft, a minimum of two at night with her hunger. A new face in town, and more death to be found, be weary..and warned.:transform :rip:

And even as more bodies were added into the hayloft, so did they dissapear, albeit at a slower rate than that with which they were placed there. Her help had been requested by the child, and agreement made, so the small cloaked figure was slowly ridding the loft of the bodies. Cautiously, though, she'd no particular wish to be caught hauling around the carcasses - there was no longer anyone to post a bail for her if she got thrown back in gaol.
Away she hauled the bodies, one by one, most of them larger than she herself was. And the kills would be deposited, each in a different place around town - places which they would be most likely to be found by the guard. She even managed to leave one right by the enterance to the gaol, and a few were piled up as disgusting gifts to the 3P Company, artfully arranged in some rather disturbing positions. After all - the Company might have the highest quality goods for the most affordable prices...but she hated them as much as she hated Kindred.

Aeri had found the note but perhaps too late. She did however go to look in the loft above the stables. It smelled of death, yet no body was found. A puzzled look made. She would find the child and see if this was all a bad joke or something was amiss. The elf was already in alot of trouble from past issues.

The Guard of course, was as ever speedy and efficient. They'd dealt with a plague of vampires before, and had slaughtered more than a few of them, once daylight had arrived and they'd been tracked back to their dens. That another one had risen was of no particular surprise.

The homeless, such as there were in a city that was swiftly emptying of population as war spread ever closer, were allowed to gather in the basements of churches for the night. Regions securely patrolled by large numbers of guards.

Naturally of course, there was also the hunt for the culprit in question. The red haired individual. It wouldn't take too much effort to narrow the search down, once there weren't any easy victims for one to feast upon. Merely a matter of time before this latest threat was seen, and disposed of.

A woman pushed inwards, A child learning to fear

Postby Keana » Tue Jul 01, 2003 12:19 pm

As the homeless began to dissapear during the night and the last few stragglers were..taken under her wing, she began to grow frustrated.

Keana licked the crimson liquid from her lips as she let the man drop from her grasp. She wasnt picky on who she fed from, yet each had the mark, the broken right shoulder as they were left behind within the hayloft.

She had noticed the bodies had started to dissapear, and a low ferral growl escaped her lips as one last joined the many that fallen before him. Silver eyes turned towards one of the horses, the last drop of crimson falling from her fangs...soon enough.

She had returned to look for the few she knew, and now, as she was pushed inwards in Myrken towards the tavern and further from the Gaol, time was drawing near for what she needed to do. Towards the graveyard she moved as the early morning dew settled on the epitaph as well as the deep green grass beneath her. The note was small and to the point, this was a place, as well as a statue she would never forget.

~Taker, some advice is needed old friend, I hope ye are well. Keana~

As for the dragon child..well as he had dissapeard the day he met Jirai, he had never expected the help that was recieved. The boy was gratefull, and the tears that littered his pale silver eyes said far more. He sat before the flames within the tavern, shivering, thinking of how to repay the woman, not yet having realized, now two knew, who knew how many more. Wiping the tears from his eyes, the small boy stood, streaching out the nearly purple, scaled wings before folding them firm to his back.

Aeri he had been missing, most he had hid from, including his mother the last few days. The fang marks upon his neck had healed, though would be a constant reminder to him of his step fathers..Bishop Marko's, warning. ~If anything happens to you or your brother Abel, come see me right away~

He had nodded before returning to the house, yet it was his mother, he would do what he needed to protect her at all costs. Though now, as Keana moved inwards, he sat stuck betwwen what he knew was right and wrong, and honor within his family name. Honor for the red dragon he knew he was, just as his father before him, and the stubborness of the black dragon his mother was. Combined, they made a machine, yet he wouldnt know this for years to come.

For now, the warning had been arised, and Keana's daily feeding would soon occure within the taverns and inns themselfs. Advice would be sought and life would go on for the red haired shifter, yet it would not be how she had intened it to. Dakar would continue moving the smaller bodies, yet as night fell on the land, you would never see a child try and move so quickly to follow the sun the furthest he could about the world before darkness littered the small town of Myrken Woods. :transform :watching:

Seen.

Postby Tyralor » Tue Jul 01, 2003 12:44 pm

It was a light rap at the door that was made.

"Lieutenant Kilborn Sir?"

"Alan. Please. Come in. I haven't seen you about for a couple of days. How have things been?"

"Well enough. I actually came by to report on the mysterious disappearances taht've been afflicting the region. The lad was right. A red haired wench. We figure she's responsible for all five missing people."

"Did you follow her?"

"Absolutely. She seems to be depositing the bodies inside the barn at the Broken Dagger tavern. Stableboy's seen her too, but been too afraid to step forward."

"Good. I believe the new Council member, the Marquis, has an aversion to vampires, and a vamprie slayer in his employ. Go to him immediately and detail this knowledge. Let him know that we're spread too thin to accomplish it on our own, but we can't have a vampire running loose like this one. Particularly one murdering anyone."

"Yes sir. Anything else?"

"Just get it down, quickly and efficiently. Keep an eye on things. Don't take chances."

"Yes sir."

And so Alan Tallfern would make his way swiftly to the estate of the Marquis, in order to present the information that had been gathered on this vampire, and leave it in his, and his vampire slayer's capable hands.
