A banquet tonight! All are welcome.

Word spread like wildfire thanks to the quick and efficient use of stablehands, and people of his own flock. They went around town; the tavern, too, most specifically to spread the word.

"Banquet at the estate of Alexander Kanashia, in honour of the promotion to Captain of the Guard, the construction of the orphanage, and the good will of the Judiciary committee and all of Myrken! Tonight, at nightfall!"

Short notice; but Alexander works on short notice. Tonight, there will be a banquet (8 pm est) at #bd*Alexander . All are welcome, save for those who obviously feel they would not be welcome in a place that would house the new Captain of the Guard.

The setting (and horribly done):

Behind the wonderful, three-story estate of Captain Alexander Kanashia was a large field, with gentle hills made for picnics and in the distance was wonderous mountains. The field itself, however, was just as magnificent. Torches standing on high poles were dotting the area, ensuring that there was a prominent source of light.

Near the home was two dining tables, each able to seat thirty people; fifteen chairs to each individual side of a table. Food was already laid out on the oak finishings, and the smell of fresh cooked meats, vegetables, and wonderful fruits filled the air. A wonderful festival, that was not complete without...

...the sounds of music, which were preformed on the porch by a group of elven men; all with instruments of their people, and playing so beautifully their songs of lore. The drink served; be it water, wine, or ale, were of top-quality. Great amounts of money had been spent to ensure fine entertainment.

And there was dance; much dance to the music that surrounded their feast. More than three dozen people had gathered already, and had begun to dance to the musics playing to their ears.
