Within the stables the voices echoed. Reaching up Dallamar grips her by the shoulders and gently pulls her back from his form, looking down to her eyes.
"You're people are in need of a leader. Someone who can rally the masses and guide them in the right direction. Some have become feral, some have formed militia's which resemble more closely groups of marauders, and some others simply let themselves be victimized. An icon must rise up and lead them against the sorceror who destroys their world. You must return Katalin. You must take your father's place and lead your people. Without that, they will soon become nothing but animals in a dying world."

Katalin swallowed slowly as she was pushed lightly back, her eyes looking up to him in confusion and pain. She knew he was right, for the dangers that lay within those people, are the dangers of their own power and force. She clentched her jaw and quickly shook her head moving to stand, knees still shaking.
"Me?! My father was a leader, as was my brother. I can not lead Gretchen's people I..I dont have the power to lead them nor the voice. I..I cant go back there...not now..not with nothing left." A tear slid down her cheek, one she fought to hide, yet the crimson dragon tear flowed....

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It had been nearly a year from the first time her eyes had opened on this land. Since, she had made friends, found those that cared for her, and battled even those at one time she held the closest. Now, she had been delivered the dagger of her brother, the one solitary scale missing off the black hilt of the shadow dagger, the tarnished steel faintly giving off light as she held it firm within her gloved hands.

The news of her homeworld was something she feared, yet now, as she knew what had happened, she hesitated. Memories lay within that world, castles that had long since fallen, her families bodies, who had long since perished. Still, she denied the fact that she could help change things.
Within the last few months, she had grown a little, spared and trained. Researched all she could to only stand right where she started, yet now, a way back.

The scent of the barn lingered as she drew in a deep breath mending to the wound on her stallions backside. Windfeather, a massive horse, yet if one were to look close enough, the red eyes gave it away as a nightmare, her nightmare. Fitting..

Yet on this emotional rollarcoaster, she knew only 2 things. One, back home she had lost all that once was, all but a title, and here, she was faceless. For two, she didnt have the power to help her people, only the stubborness of a dragon, and the persistance of an elf. She needed alot of convincing as well as some powerful training, yet..would it be in time?

<<<A deep blue glow covered the mages hand as he withdrew it from the confines of his cloak and spun, perhaps the fear upon Katalins face giving her brother away as he stood behind. Though as screams from the fallen soldiers pushed closer to the gates of the capital, what was ment for Kate, the mage pushed onto the chest of her brother. "MIKEAL NO!">>>

Memories filled her mind as she held that dagger, that memory more then most. Still, she felt she was to blame for her brothers death, it would take time for her to forgive herself, time alone. For now, she went on, drawing up her cloak as she followed Dallamar back towards the tavern for a drink. There was a key to this child, though untill the inscription was read properly to unlock the right doors, her world would remain a haunting memory.
