Under the protection of four stout gentlemen each, the Tax collectors of Myrkenwood will be moving over the town today to distribute small pouches of a fair sum of shillings each to the citizens of Myrkenwood on behalf of the Council. It would be, obviously, a generally well received boon explained by a sudden influx of unanticipated funds to those who asked.
Obviously, some people would scorn the offer because they could, or had their own moralistic reasons to insist that the money came from no decent place. It was all false, of course. But the offer would still be made, and those that didn't accept it would still be wished a pleasant season and better luck with the year to come.
