Written on this day,17th June.
To the Council of Myrken Wood:
Having only just now been apprised of the final
tally of the the recent elction, I wish to send
my most sincere congratulations to the winner. The
Marquis,I'm certain will discharge his duties as
Councilman in the same high pursuit of excellence
for which the Council has long been noted.
In a sign that my good will is in earnest, may
I suggest that the next session,at which the
Marquis no doubt will be sworn in,be held in an
open area in full sight of all and under the blue
sky and golden sun that God has gifted all His children with?
I further urge the Council to invite the
High Inquistor and divers clerics of good will
to bless the Council members and consecrate
them to the task of watching over the people
even as He watches over us all.
Surely such a ceremony will set the hearts,
minds, and souls of the citizens to rest,
as well as restore their faith in the Good
Works and Intent of the Judiciary!
I shall send a copy of this missive and
your reply to the Inquistor,so he may see
the evils that have plagued Myrken have
not yet tainted those who tend their
worldly flock as the Church sees to its
spiritual needs.
I await,with interest,your response.
Your Humble Servant,
Dhugal McParlan.
The note is written in a fine hand.
Surely one must reasonably assume the
drunken Scotsman had hired a scribe.
