Departure

Lord Sir Burel Tassnehof, Duke of Thessilane, was seen departing the village of Myrken as the sun was barely cresting over the horizon. He departed with a small patrol men, riding off in the direction Gilroy Pass, and from there his destination is most likely Thessilane itself. Word has it that he is returning to preside over various Yuletide ceremonies in his home country.
It is reported that he left behind four of his guardsmen to protect some personal interests, as well as his beloved wife, Lenore, and their newly born daughter, Vara. All of these men are part of the Duke's elite guard, the Companions. As good a choice as any, if one were to leave his family behind.
This can be seen as a risky move, as the tensions between New Dauntless and Thessilane have not truly simmered since this last summer's flare up of hostilities along their mutual borders. One can only hope that this does not signal the start of more action. Be it military or political.
