A Veiled Past

The patrons of the Broken Dagger Tavern had been cordial upon his first visits...The tender, Pritchard, was attentive to the needs of all who made their way to his well stocked bar....The pale man had spent much of his time engaged in a favorite pasttime, observation...His dark gaze had fallen upon many during his quiet vigils within the room....The time spent had offered a certain clarity to some of the relationships between the people of the realm...both positive and less than so....

To say that the appearance of Lord Bromn was somewhat surprising...was a bit of an understatement....The dark haired stranger had offered polite acknowledgement of Altias during their meeting...The man's questions offered naught of offense but at times, pressed into places he was not willing to go...to which he deftly turned the discussion to a more accomodated line....

During part of their conversation, Altias had made mention of a name that caused Darkfall to pause in his words....Although there was little change to his composed countenance, he was certain the man had noted his interest....The gentleman had no way of knowing that this single name had drawn his interest in a manner that was not to be ignored....

~Dea....When last he had seen her, there had been words of confusion and despair....Her innermost being had been all but shattered by those events from the past....To know that she was alive and well soothed the most troublesome of thoughts for her....but there were many more that only time would offer closure to...If at all....~
