A Note Addressed to Treadwell

Mon Jan 10, 2005 7:53 am

Whenever Aloisius Treadwell comes to the tavern next to search for his eldest child, he will instead find that the tavernkeep has a note addressed to him, scrawled in her trademark penmanship...

Dear Daddy,
I am no longer staying at the Broken Dagger, as Lord Lustrus Fairbourne has so graciously invited me to stay at his lovely home. I believe this arrangement will work out the best for everyone, as I would only get in the way of your new family at your house, and the tavern is not exactly... as nice as what I'm used to. Lord Fairbourne has a large mansion with many rooms, where I will have plenty of peace and privacy. So worry not for your dear daughter - I am doing just fine! I will see you very soon.
Love,
Babette

"Merciful heavens! What in Blazes is she thinking?!"

Treadwell has just finished reading the note left to him. He's none too pleased.

"Peace and privacy! She'd *best* get both, or I'd dare say Lord Fairbourne will be in a great deal of trouble! Mmph mmph. . . ."

A note snatched up, a sigh huffed out, and then Treadwell's wobbling home, all a-fume.
