Resolve

Resolve

Captain Thomas Daniels surveyed the Broken Dagger with a dismayed frown, and why shouldn't he? The town was home to a seemingly unending 'bout of plagues, stretching as far back as the flood that was diverted by the one Coran.

Of course, all parties had done their best to stem and prevent as much damage and harm as they could, and it was probably for this resolve alone that Myrkentown was still standing.

The Broken Dagger was a center point for...things. Anyone who frequently visited could tell him that, but he didn't need him or her to. He was on the 'Dagger Patrol' with Robert for a good amount of time, and he knew just what kind of focal point the place could be, what sort of trouble could - and would - brew from it.

The captain pitied Pritchard for his unimaginably bad luck.

Robert had once told him a phrase that Thomas quite liked: 'Make yer own luck.' The captain set out to do just that.

The Dagger wouldn't be the only place he would visit today, but most of the public establishments around town. His proposal was simple: install a bell. A large, loud bell. When trouble came, ring it. And the Order of Straka would come to meet it, at least any patrols in earshot.

He'd come first to the Broken Dagger to discuss as much with Lady Darkblayde, if she could be found, or Pritchard if not.

This would be, of course, circulated through the Straka's ranks.

It was time for a little change in Myrkentown, and Captain Thomas Daniels set his resolve to it.
