Day 1

I've placed all I could find on the Red Devil on the previous page. It appears many of the locals don't actually know too much about it. From what I could discover, the locals have their own intricate issues to deal with currently. The tavern is by far the most easily accessible social hub, and while it is unfortunate it is a tavern, it also happens to be an inn. I've holed up here for the time being...can't exactly stay in the woods currently as per there is a monster out there that kills on sight.

The tavern itself has its own stories, a pair of socialite women whom are about to venture out, a curious yet cautious woman name Zilona (who seemed to be fascinated by N'vek- he is another story), N'vek a squid-kid who can change to appear human, a large oafish looking man who hides under the stairs, a cat with horns, and a redhead that I am not sure if is a man or woman...regardless they all appear to frequent this place. Maybe one of them knows something?

I do recall earlier meeting Gloria, Ailova, and Rhys...yet when I entered the bar they appeared to be no where in sight. They must have had their fill and left by the time I got back from town. At least they said they were heading to this place but how could I know?

Speaking of Gloria...she is a bit feisty. She pulled a dagger on me and everything...of course I was slightly endangering a forest creature.

Day Two:
Thus far today I have encountered a mender, she fixed my bag. She reminded me of...her...so I gave her extra money as payment and penance.

I've also encountered a giantoid whom calls himself catch. Thus far catch appears to be friendly and is actually protective. He has a dragon friend named Ember that he cares for as his own.

Catch mentioned a name of a possible monster, "Treadwell".

The dragon is minute and presents no current threat to myself or the townsfolk.

Local constable John Redd was able to provide some insight regarding recent occurences involving any monsters. He briefed me on three major reports: First, a fire caused by either wolfmen on horses or horsemen on wolves I can't quite recall regardless he said it didn't matter because they inadvertently saved the dagger from an attack. Second a dragon who has been swarming nearby a local farmer, from the text of what I could understand it appears to not be attacking any livestock currently, but the farmer and family grow nervous - in this regard I could slay the beast but am unsure as to the local response. Lastly he mentioned several reports of missing people last seen heading into the woods only never to return, all of which are suspected to be slain by the "Red Devil". Constable did not mention if any bodies were found...John appeared skiddish but held his ground and did not reveal private details.

Day 3:
After speaking to Hok I uncovered much needed intel regarding the Red Devil...essentially he informed me of the fact that the Red Devil is not the creature I am looking for. Rather instead, he was informed that R.D. MAY ACTUALLY BE A GUARDIAN OF THE FOREST!

I spoke to Kayden again, the fiery redhead with freckles...note to self don't call her Freckles. Despite her lack of monster knowledge she actually aided me the most pointing me in the right direction when I thought all leads had run cold.

Spoke to Catch, he was actually quite useful and is much more intelligent than he lets on.

NIabh pointed out that signing a contract with Catch that this is not wise as per anything I do could be tracked back to Catch. Foolish mistake on my part.

Had a conflict with a crazy lady, she calls me a liar. This doesn't sit well with me and I almost drew upon her. I realize she is crazy but I could have slit her throat before she spoke another word...my eyes were red again...

Regardless, we both know this book only allows the truth to be written into it. If I know the words to be false they will eradicate themselves.

It has been several days since my book was kept captive or stolen by Niabh...what Kayden sees in this woman I shall never know. Speaking of Kay and Nia...this weekend I managed to somehow accidentally propose to Niabh...I still don't know what happened or how I did it and no one will explain that concept of proposal to me...


Kayden was upset when I told her about this, but I didn't lie to her at least...I could never do that. During my conversation with Kay she demonstrated that her bruises were from training with a man named Desoph. She told me to stay away from him so I shall ...for now.

I think what is inside is trying to get out...the damned whiskey isn't cutting it anymore.

For now I've found some spare scraps of paper to write down my daily events...I only have a few left -some of which is reserved for an apology letter.

I need to get my book back though...if Niabh doesn't return my book...I am unsure if I will be able to continue these entries.

Found out early last night that I didn't actually propose to Niabh...still hasn't returned my book though...

I began to drink stronger liquor to suppress the beast...damned barkeep says it will kill me, but what does he know?

I overheard Kayden and Niabh talking about their issues...I don't think I handled it well...

Woke up today sleeping on that log where Kayden had met me...last thing I recall from last night is serenading some really feminine guy with "who's afraid of the big bad wolf?" and then I woke up
