The rain; it stirs the earth.
The earth began to sink inward in spots around Myrken, though not by much. The rain soaked the ground, which eagerly drank from the tears of the sky. Under a particularly soft portion of earth, located only a few yards from the Dagger itself, stirred something. Spines, supported by membranous tissue, peeked for a moment - before disappearing. The faint scent of organic decay radiating outward, plant life that had taken root and flourish now died.
Here is where one, the oldest of the pod, circled and moved - feeling the heat of each passing patron to the Dagger, feeling their vibrations. Even so much as to feel their presence within the establishment. This elder Groundweller was hesitant, it could not attack .. no, not yet. The rain was soothing. Oh, was it ever soothing. Blade-shaped head, with points of sheer sharpness at the front and along the rising ridge that tucked back a bit, rose near the surface before disappearing.
The trees near this creature shifted and swayed, some of the plantlife disappeared in the small display of quicksand that was created when the rain had pooled enough. Slowly, it descended - to continue its wayward observations without detection so soon.
