There is one legend that has sat with the timeless others, for ages and ages on end; generations long since past would remember it much the same way those living today do. It is another legend, among many, that sit in the background of some people's everyday lives; it is a legend known in many places, from the northern city of Bolgardia to Myrkenwood to even other worlds, unbeknownst to this fact as they are, such as the now-warring nation of Temuria.
It is a legend, that, like the others, has its believers and its non, but no 'followers'; ages have somewhat twisted the words of the tale, but not unrecognizably so. And, like other legends, it is kept alive by the mystery, by the occasional fringe farmer claiming to have seen those depicted in the story.
It is a legend about a dragon.
A dragon who was among the first, among those to see the birthsof other life, who witnessed the many races spring forth and populate the planet. On a number of different realms and worlds, it is said; ageless, indescribably wise.
The dragon's name was Arkadielous, and he was said to be pink.
The stories say that Arkadielous was a watcher; he never stepped in when people found themselves in danger and strife. Never, even, when a race was on the brink of extinction. But the people couldn't hate him for it, for when they sought and found him, his words were always understanding - comforting and soothing all at once, with only one sentence of the dragon's deep voice. Those blame it on his wisdom. Years, centuries, millennia even, the dragon has watched.
But the worlds have moved on. The legend is fading from the public at large, resting, now and until their death, with those hopeful souls that stay with the legends, believing in their power and their truth regardless of what the others say.
