Renea,
Where to begin?
I think it would be best for you and the family that you magically created out of thin air to relocate somewhere other than Myrken Wood. The quick, albeit deranged, thinking of sweet Mary has bought you a modicum of doubt but that shall only take you and yours so far. I will not be able to take action against those who take action against you and yours, nor can I condone action you take in response.
I will provide you with your backpay of a few weeks and an additional stipend from my personal funds to help you get a new start elsewhere. On a personal note, I will do everything in my power to restore your soul. That I vow to you.
I trust you to do what is best for your family.

So the governor would allow people to attack her and her family and condemn her for acting in self defense?
Brandon and she had been up all night arguing about whether to leave Myrken or not and he'd almost swayed her but this letter from Burnie in all it's high handed arrogance did more to solidify her stubborness than anything else could have. She would not be chased from her own home.
She knew for a fact she wasn't the first person to have come back to life in this place. Most of them still served in government and their governor happily condoned whatever actions they decided to take. Renea had awoken, moved unseen from the rememdium, appeared in the tavern where she saw Cherny, N'vek, Giuseppe and Solena and then stumbled home. The fact that, by morning, there had been a full sized mob outside her door seemed far too convenient especially as there had been no funeral so most of the folk waving pitchforks and throwing rocks likely hadn't even known she was dead. A simple "Woops sorry, prank gone too far she never really died!" would have sufficed but the governor had decided to fuel the fire rather than quell it. He wanted her gone. She wasn't sure why but she did know she wasn't going to accomodate him.
The note was given to the fire and the messenger was sent off with a honey cake and no reply.
Burnie had no idea what was best for her family.
