At some point during the bloody flux it would seem that the red-haired Doctor's assistant had gone missing. There one minute and somehow in the middle of the night she had managed to slip away out of the Rememdium, leaving just her blanket folded up on her bed. Perhaps the treatment the Doctor had given her had worked, perhaps it had not. Either way, the woman had gone missing.
For months her little cottage had been left empty for those who may have checked. The roof had begun to leak without it's much needed repairs and the plants around the little rickety building had become overgrown without the careful tending the required in the summer months.
The head of summer came and went, and still with no sign of life within. No word from the woman and it would appear that she had faded into the history of Myrken's many transient residents.
Until a cool fall evening.
As Myrkenwood slept a heavy wooden carriage would make it's way through the streets, a hulking man hunched over the reigns of the Clydesdale horses that pulled the weight behind them both. The horses would walk slowly, though it was nearly impossible for them to be quiet as they moved through the streets before finally turning down the small path, now overgrown with grass, towards the neglected cottage.
Perhaps if there were neighbors they would have heard the sounds of chains rattling from within the carriage as it stopped, however with the state of Myrkenwood today, perhaps many of them had abandoned their homes as well. Once the sounds had ceased only a quiet murmer of voices would be heard until finally the heavy wooden door would be unlocked by the unusual driver, and from it would step the long since missing assistant. Wrapped in an elegant fur cloak, her long red hair standing in brilliant contrast to the soft white fur. She would pause and smile back at her unseen companion in the carriage, offering a bow of her head before she would turn to walk to her cottage without a second glance back.
A candle would light from inside, and the strange carriage and driver would leave just as they had come.
