Back in town again
Damnit, damnit, damnit! Why the hell was he here? Booted feet drew him forward, over that red patch of grass in front of the tavern. It was dark. And though he could see just fine in the dark, he was colorblind when it was such. He didn't notice it. The blood that leaked from the flower when he tramped over it wasn't even noticed, as it was wiped upon the rest of the grass in his trek outside.
So why was Ignas here? Because. He'd just spent the last month in the company of VAMPIRES. Oh, yes. Disgusting, bloodsucking leeches, none of which he particularly liked at all! God damn his son for marrying into a Vampire family. And then, in his various wanderings around town, in hope of finding some sort of sustenance, he had the LUCK to run into a woman who in fact, turned out to be one of them, too! An empty meal. He'd be hungry hours later. Lifeless sacks of flesh...cold bodies, didn't breathe, had no heartbeats. Didn't sweat. Didn't feel, didn't respond. No potency, no excitement. Just a dead body, moving uselessly against his. There was no point to it, and he didn't wish to waste his time with one. As food they were....unpalatable, even if they found him quite the opposite. And so he steered clear of them.
It was such an episode in a local tavern, that dragged him back to the Dagger, where he would linger for a moment longer, before wandering back the hell into town. Barflies. Harlots. People hurrying about home. Probably drow too, though he didn't see those. It was getting late, and all the decent folk were heading to bed.
Time passed, and the time for indecent people to pass out or stumble home passed, too. Ignas remained in the streets, peering around with his black-and-white twilight vision, frowning. "Damnit, I really do need a hobby.", he would mumble. He would stay around a few moments longer, before retreating back to an inn where he'd stored his things earlier. Might as well get some rest now and sleep until noon. He was back in town, and nothing had really changed about Ignas. He was still just as bored with his life, and stagnant as ever. But at least things would be a little less boring with all the drama here...right? Anything to stave off the insanity that threatened to take hold of his mind.
