Her own damn fault. Pesky language speaking. And while she meant that, no, she didn't need anything, Nova was feeling a bit tongue-tied. And when feeling tongue-tied, she tended to mix up words! Oh, no. This meant that it was time to leave!
"Right. So. I'll get to it. Thank you for the, uhm-- thing." Did she hesitate in grabbing the little box and rising from her seat? Nope. Swallowing a lump in her throat, she scratched gingerly at the back of her neck while her tail fell between her legs. "I'll let you know if I require anything. Uh-- farewell. Take care and have a pleasant day." That smile was too large, too forced. She had a task -- things to do. Things far less awkward than tripping over her words and looking like a fool, after all. She promptly wiped the smile off of her face and cleared her throat softly, box held close to her chest, "...yeah." And before things developed the potential to get even weirder, Nova turned on her heel and skulked out of the building with her head ducked low. She didn't even know what just happened, really, but at least it was over.
