There are those in Myrken Wood who are able to deliver letters to people even as elusive as Aeryn Karolinger. It might have taken an extra few hours or even an extra day, but this would most likely reach him.

I hear that you encountered Rhaena Olwak in the Broken Dagger only yesterday. I hear that she apologized to you for her actions many months ago. I generally find this course to be healthy for her. It will help her begin to get over the events of the last half a year. Most people respond to her apologies with grace and understanding. You, however, showed anything but.
I find this interesting considering you are the one person in the entire world that I would bid her NOT to apologize to. Every word she spoke to you, despite being uncharacteristic of her, was the honest truth. Every action was validated, worthwhile, undoubtedly NECESSARY.
I do not know when you will next stumble into the Dagger, so I reach you this way as these words need to be said and with true haste. You and you alone are responsible for what happened with Agnieszka. As an employer, a Marshall, you served as a liberating element. As a lover, you were nothing but a plague upon her and upon her home. To say otherwise would be to willingly ignore all evidence and reason.
That is, however, what you do, what you CHOOSE to do. At every turn, you put your pride above her needs and well-being, and I emphasize that it was your pride and not your honor, despite what you may say, think, or feel. You are ruled by it and by the worst possible tendencies of mankind. You refuse to challenge yourself. You refuse to question yourself. You refuse to better yourself. You refuse to strive to be even a shade of the man you might have become. Agniezska and Myrken have both suffered for it, and now so has Rhaena.
If you will not choose to examine your actions and your mindset, if you truly fear to do so, if you will not be a man in any sense but the absolute worst, know that I have no such fears. You are a madman only because you CHOOSE to be a madman. Never claim otherwise. You have had every opportunity to improve, a winter with Vanidor's coven, Agnieszka's one-sided support, such responsibility upon your shoulders, Ariane's ear.
I demand a letter of apology for Rhaena, but I do not expect it. If you were too weak to put aside your pride for something you valued, for Agnieszka's sake, I doubt that you will be able to do it here.
