It had been something she needed to do for awhile now. The ring upon the chain around her neck seemed to remind her everyday of the task she needed to complete. A soft sigh given and the quill picked up to write the note.
Dearest Suede,
Since my return, I have seen that things would never be between us again. Know that I did what I had to do to protect you. You may never understand this. Blame it on me or the Silent Order. No matter what, always know you will hold a special place in my heart. I could not face thee to say such words and we both have avoided issues.

The chain was lifted off her neck and the ring removed, only to be placed within the note. The note then slid into an envelope. It was sealed in wax with the letter 'AS' upon it. She then stood and moved off to the taylors home to place it where he could find. None would ever see the tears she had shed for the hood of her cloak was hiding her face.
