To Cinnabar Calomel, Greetings

I hope this missive finds you and your lady well. I tell you this in confidence, but there shall be a gathering in the near future. It is to be a surprise to a certain newly-wed couple of our acquaintance and I would be greatly pleased if you and your family might attend.

I am afraid I find myself with another matter which might benefit from your input. There is a young man, one Elliot Brown, who used to be a squire before the unfortunate incident involving the Ashfiend. I am afraid that the young man in question has quite lost direction since then and might be tending towards more unsavory occupations. I have tried to convince him to attend schooling in town but he is most resistant to anything I advise. I wonder perhaps if he might benefit from more masculine advice. The boy mentioned recently learning from blacksmiths and I mentioned your name. If you do run across young ser Brown, I should greatly appreciate it if you would do your best to steer him towards a brighter path in life.

I have included with this missive a small toy I recently acquired from Razasan. The clockwork seems to be most finely tuned and the carving quite exquisite. I hope your children will enjoy it!

Sincerely,
Rhaena Olwak
