Passing through Hands

He sat there, in admist the stone foundations which had once sucked in the coolness of the earth, his former hide away from the heat.. till that wretched thing had grown so fierce that not even the night time below ground could remedy it.

His clothing was loose, nothing tucked in, he had to fight the heat best he could as he moved between various boxes, catalogued, priced, moved finished work aside. He danced around the three other men there without much aduei, back to his main focus.

Sill, the lovely little gypsy, had come into possession of a sword recently. She'd sold it of course, through those channels she'd found most convenient. But the tailor had a perchant for keeping an eye on every interesting trade that occurred in Myrken, he liked to be at least aware, if not in control of it all. Fortune be that she'd pawned the lovely blade off to someone under his employ.

It was worth twice what had been paid, and he'd gathered it up with all due haste. Word could spread a bit over town admist the Market's other listings of the sale of the weapon, but he doubted buyers. In a few days he'd send it out of the region to the wealthier collections of Derry or New Dauntless.

Funny thing that. Someone else seemed to have tracked down the sword in turn. An individual that had offered more than twice the price at that. Apparently Suede wasn't the only individuals with contacts and a purse.

Of gypsies and thieves

Sold for simple shillings and then on the market to be resold, this blade obviously seems to have a lot of people's intrested in it, though would Suede understand why it was worth the price he believed it to be?

The counciler's employee scratched at his chin before he handed over to the man with a scratch of his chin and would tell him what he noticed about it in himself, having a bit of knowledge on the matter. He stood before Suede running his fingers down the flat of the simple long sword.

"It's made of silver for some reason, I'm not sure why a gypsy would be having something like this in her posession."

Then he would turn it over and show the markings on it, an archaic scribe of words, running down the length, it wasn't of a scrawl that either of them would be familiar with that was for sure, though it might rise a question.

"See this? No idea the words at all, but from what I guess, it might be a clan thing, the breaks might indicate a name and a family name, as well as a saying to guide the owner in battle."

Slowly over turning the blade he lifted it up and held it hilt first towards the man, which one the pummel dangled a short chain and on the end had a little trinket, that of what looks like a gold wedding band, glimmering softly.

"I think you could get triple what I gave the gypsy for it, but I wouldn't hold onto it long, whoever owned it before might be hunting for it, dispite it's make and material it seems to have a lot of sentimental value if you asked my opinion, sir. But, good luck anyways."

With this the man was nodding and then turning off after leaving the blade he aquired in the posession of his employer.

This all of course means something -will- be looking for that blade, the something that it belonged too, question is will money be invovled or another means entirely?

Well he wasn't suprised really, that someone else would have been made aware of his sellings. That tended to be the point of making them known. He'd take the information provided by his gentleman to heart.. and considering the offered payment to the price of moving the object from the region he'd agree to the trade.

Of course Suede would not be present, and he'd never inquire to who the buyer was, that was poor tact in the job. The trade would be made.. the tailor would have more coin. And someone had a new sword they could deal with.
