Gareth Rayin Taliaferro, Prince of New Dauntless, Viscount of Malandra, Commander of the Zeurst; to the Honorable Councilors of the Province of Myrken Wood:
Greetings.
I must first apologize for the recent lack of communication between New Dauntless and Myrken Wood. The complications which arose from the murder of Prince Joryll, and the subsequent transferrance of his duties to myself, and the necessary gathering of the armies of New Dauntless to defend against the barbarian threat required my complete and immediate attention. I humbly request your forgiveness for the lapse in communication, and will take full responsiblity for any negative repurcussions that might arise from such a lapse.
It is my wish that with this letter, and the visit I plan to make to Myrken Wood in the near future, we may reopen doors that may have closed over the past months. I hope that we will be able to resolve any past or present issues quickly and with all the diplomacy that your esteemed selves most assuredly possess.
May this letter find you all in good health, and with far fewer troubles weighing upon your shoulders than the last time we spoke.
By my hand this twelfth day of June,
Gareth Rayin Taliaferro

The letter was delivered on the afternoon of June 20th by a young messenger in the mahogany and gold livery of the royal house of New Dauntless. The young man brought the letter, which was written on expensive parchment and sealed with yellow-gold wax, directly to the Myrken Wood Meetinghouse. He accepted no tip for his services, if one was offered, and informed the person who took the letter from him that he would be in Myrken Wood for five days, residing at the town home of Prince Taliaferro on the corner of Threadneedle and Music Streets, if the Council wished to send a reply.

Altias Brom, Judicar of the MyrkenWood Council, to the Honorable Gareth Rayin Taliaferro, Prince of New Dauntless, Viscount of Malandra, Commander of the Zeurst
Most esteemed Prince,
I must first ask your understanding in the lateness of my response. Things have been very unsettled here, and I have had little time to keep up on my corespondance.
We are, of course, most open to discussion with you. Things, as you must know by now, are strained here, with the oncoming Horde. As you yourself must already be aware, their threat is most immediate. We are currently bracing for the unavoidable clash that will soon meet here in Myrken.
I would go so far as to say that your presence here might be welcomed, so that all of us might discuss further courses of action in these trying times.
God's speed to you and yours,
by my hand, this 9th day of July,
Altias Bromn
The letter was set with the seal of Myrkenwood, and his fastest rider sent to deliver it, with instructions to look for the Prince along the way, as he may be with his troops already fighting the Horde.
