A letter sent.

The girl worked late into the night, veiled head bent over a leger, neatly penning column upon column of numbers into the book. A single candle flickered in her room, but truly she did not even need that small amount of light. Sleep escaped her, and her mind was not upon the task she occupied herself with, but focused instead on the subject of her conversations earlier this evening.

Eventually she set her work aside and pulled out a fresh sheet of parchment. The girl hesitated only a moment before penning graceful words onto the paper. It was a brief note.

Mister Demonsbane,

I would know more of what you have learned about this situation before giving you my answer.
